Gardening - Lavender

The Bella TM Lavender is an ever-blooming Lavender from Australia. It blooms three weeks earlier than the usual lavender that we get here in Texas. It has a compact growing habit, so I'm hoping it will be perfect for the bed around the patio. It prefers full sun and is also supposed to be more tolerant of heat and drought. I'll be field-testing that claim this summer!

In this photo, this plant is about 6 inches high, but it should mature to around 24 inches. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this plant does and if it lives up to expectations. I'm eager to begin drying lavender and using it for making lavender bags, potpourri etc.
