Jayne's Links

This poem was written by a very close friend of mine about my experiences, but I believe that it equally applies to anyone that has tried to live in their "birth" gender role, and tried to suppress their feelings of inner self.

Discovery

The child sits in the sand, and digs with both hands.
Slowly at first, then faster and faster.
Digging deeper and deeper.
The child finds something it always knew was there
and hides it away again in a little pocket, close to the heart.
For who would believe
and who could understand
that a little child could know so much,
and hide so much,
and suffer so much...for so long.
