A/N: I know this story is getting lamer and lamer by the minute, but just bear with me here, I'll get to the interesting parts later on . . . anyways, please R&R!! Split Decisions Flying To The Stars ~Miyako's POV~ I inhaled sharply. Not of anger. Of course not. Of, pure un-believing senses. "You . . . what?" I said. "You love me?" My eyes widened. "You love me?" My mouth formed an 'O'. Now, I know he wasn't talking, "I'll love you for now and next week I'll find another" kind of love, he was talking real love. The eternity lasting kind. But - I was shocked. Was I ready to love anyone, for eternity? The look in his violet eyes told me he was for real. Real real. My eyes wandered around his face. He seemed, hurt, pained, loving, sincere, and . . . kind. Very different from the everyday Kaiser. His eyes were questioning. They were so . . . sad. I had not the heart to refuse this even though I didn't really know what was going on . . . but something made me want to just pretend and love him. I don't know. If I told him I didn't feel love yet, I was afraid he would do something drastic, so I quietly whispered, "I . . . I love you too Ken." Maybe my eyes tell-taled, because Ken glanced deep into them, and he looked away, in sadness. "No - you don't Miyako, you can lie . . . but your eyes can't." He seemed to get more and more pained with each word, "Miyako, I really, really love you. That is why - I don't want you to lie . . . tell me the truth Miyako, do you love me?" For once, the Kaiser didn't seem Kaiser, if you know what I mean. Just this heart-broken cutie that wanted a girl to love-love him. "Ken . . . " I chose my words very carefully. "I don't love you yet . . . at least I don't think so . . . see, I get this . . . this feeling whenever I'm near your, or reverse . . . and, and sometimes I just think I love you, but that happens for a second, and I get these dreams, that I don't know what they're saying, but sometimes . . . it's like they have something to do with you . . ." My voice trailed off. "You mean love, and hate to me. But right now . . . all I feel is love." He glanced at me, and for once, his eyes softened, like softened softened. "Really? Really Miyako?" He sounded so . . . hopeful. "Really, really, Ken." I whispered. And wrapped my arms on his shoulders. Out of sheer I-don't-know. I felt his tense body relax, and I felt something warm wrap around me, too. I smiled. Happily. ~Kaiser's POV~ She just melted herself onto me. Wrapping her delicate arms around me. I felt so . . . peaceful. And I wrapped my arms around her too. You know those times when you can't stop yourself into doing something? This was one of those times. Just one though. "Miyako?" I whispered. God, that felt so nice. Just saying her name . . . "Yes?" She asked softly, her head still on my shoulder. I couldn't help but grin - a little. "Did you honestly. . . .?" "Yes," she murmured. "Yes." "I could fly, you know," I whispered. "Me, too, Ken, fly to the stars." Then an idea struck me. "Miyako, come with me," I said, excitedly. "Wha- ?" Her voice was questioning. "Ken, where we going?" "A surprise, " then I stopped. "Close your eyes, my Angel." She blushed, but obligingly closed her eyes. I carefully guided her, then after a while, I just picked her up, supporting her back and knees. "Ken!" She shrieked a little, but she didn't open her eyes, just giggled. And wrapped her arms around my neck. I went closer to the port where I kept my Digimon. And my Airdramon was there, ready to work.. I gently lifted Miyako so that she was on Airdramons back. Then I went on too. I opened the door, and it made a grinding door, like a garage door opening. "Where are we going?" She said. "Too the stars," I whispered. "Airdramon, fly as high as you can to the stars!" I commanded. "Can I open my eyes now?" Then she shrieked as Airdramon began to move. But stopped. She was probably used to Halsemon, or whatever her Hawkmon digi-volved too. "We're flying!" She said excitedly. "Don't open your eyes!" I reminded her. "I won't if you don't want me too," she said, giggling a little. When we were high enough, so the stars seemed close enough, I said, gently. "Miyako, open your eyes." She did, slowly, and she gasped when she did. Nearly falling off. "Miyako! Watch out!" She giggled. "It's all so beautiful . . ." she gushed, taking in the shimmering diamonds that glittered the sky. "I love you Ken," she breathed. "I love you." |
