Dear Readers, Hey! What’s up everyone?? I’m so happy! A few days ago I read my first Kaiser X Yolei fanfic, and I loved it. You can probably tell now what this is gonna be, huh? Now I Lay Thee Down to Dream “That’s the thirty-sixth control sprine today, can’t we take a break.” Groaned Davis “As long as were able, we should probably keep going.” answered TK “I have to agree with TK.” Said Kari with a smile. Davis gave a small pout as they continued to walk. Kari, Tk, and Davis lead the group, their digimon came next, and last in the pack was Cody and Yolei standing side by side. Cody had been watching Yolei all day, and by the look on his faced he was quite concerned about her. Her eyes were half closed and her face was totally flushed. She also walked much slower, and for once wasn’t her spunky, happy, hey-everyone-lets-go-kick-some-butt! self. “Why don’t we take a break.” Piped in Cody after a moment silence. The group stopped and looked at him, except Yolei who was looking of into space with glassy eyes. Davis smiled. “See? Someone else thinks we should stop too!” TK looked at Cody who had turned his attention to Yolei. When TK looked at Yolei he noticed the same thing and sighed. “All right, just a quick break.” “YEA!!” cried Davis. “Yepee…” said Yolei as she knelt down to the ground. Cody still kept his eyes on her, worried for his long time friend. “Me, Davis, and our Digimon will look for some food. You guys stay here and relax.” TK said as he walked off. Soon the others followed. “Be careful…” started Kari “SEE? Kari is worried about me!!” “…TK!” finished Kari Davis let out a pout of disappointment as they walked on. Kari laughed and turned to the rest of them. Her expression soon changed when she noticed Yolei’s state. “Yolei, are you OK?” asked Kari. Yolei was silent for a moment before lifted her head slowly and smiling. “Oh yea, don’t worry about it. I’m fine.” She tried to keep her smile on as long as possible, but it didn’t work. Her eyes soon drifted off into space again and her face became still, with no emotion. Cody had been watching her for some time, he took his eyes off her for a moment and looked down when he noticed something about Yolei’s hands. “Yolei, your shaking!” Yolei softly broke out of her trace and looked her hands. They were shaking, in fact her whole body was. Except for her head, she felt her whole body was cold and could not resistance shaking. “I’m just cold that’s all.” She explained. “Are you sure?” asked Kari. “Yea, I’m fine. Just a little tried too, but that’s all.” She said with another smile. “Well, maybe after our break we should head back. You don’t look right at all. You probably need some rest.” Cody stated. “OK, but it’s up to you guys. I don’t really mind what we do.” answered Yolei. Just then the rest of the group came out of the woods, fruit in hand. “Here you go guys.” TK said handing fruit out to everyone. Yolei took hers, but didn’t eat it. She, instead, passed it back from one hand to another. “You should really eat something, Yolei.” Stated TK as Davis took a big chopped out of his. “I’m really not that hungry….I’ll just safe it for later….” She said, not taking her eyes off the space. Davis, FINALLY, noticed Yolei’s state and tried to make things “better”. “It’s nice not to see Yolei’s big month not going for a change!” As Davis said this he cringed with a smile on his face, expecting to get whack by Yolei. When nothing happened, he opened his eyes and saw Yolei in the exact some position as before. “Wow….Yolei must REALLY be sick if she didn’t react after that…” “Maybe we should go home after this, we can always come back later.” Subjected Cody “That sounds good, Yolei looks like she needs to rest for awhile.” Answered TK “Hm?…Yea, whatever…” said Yolei in her half trace like state. Hawkmon was very worried and kept close to Yolei so as to keep her warm. “Thanks Hawkmon.” Yolei said flatly. “Any time my-dear.” He said with a smile. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “This is exactly the kind of break I’ve been looking for!!” cried the Digimon Emperor when his monitors had detected the Chosen Children. “What are you planning, Master?” asked Wormmon. “With them so tried, it will be easy to destroy them. WORMMON!” Wormmon cringed. “Yes?” “Prepare the DarkTrannymon, we’re going to attack!!” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The DigiDestined sat in silence when a ramble came through the ground. It became louder and louder, and as they began to stand up, the saw the Digimon Emperor and his forces just behind the trees. “Well, well so we meet again DigiDestined! And for the last time will I have to see you in my Digital World!” “That’s what you think! Let’s go guys!!” *all together, except Yolei* “DIGI ARMOR ENEGERIZINES!!” Soon all the digimon had armor digivoled, except Hawkmon who was waiting for Yolei to say it. “Come on Yolei, we need Hawkmon!” cried Davis ( I know that’s wrong, but I don’t know how to spell his digivoled form. Sorry ( ) “Right…” Yolei said as she slowly began to raise. When she was half standing she brought out her digivice and began. “Digi Armor….’ Before she could finish she feel to one knee. “Yolei!” cried Hawkmon as he flew to her side. “I’m all right…Just gotta try it again…” said Yolei as she began to get up again. While the other Digimon had begun to fight the DarkTrannymon, The Digimon Emperor watched as this girl was completely defense-less. Yolei slowly got back up and with all her strength thrusted the digivice into the air. “DIGI AROMOR ENERGIZE!!” Soon Hawkmon had Armor Digivoled with the Crest of Love and was fighting along side the other Digimon. “Go…get them…” Before she knew it Yolei had collapsed on the ground. “YOLEI!” cried Kari, as she and the others ran over. “What do we do now?” asked Davis “We retreat and get Yolei to a doctor.” Yolei was still shaking as Cody reached over and felt her head. He let out a small scream and brought his hand back. “Her head is on fire!” “Come on, she needs a doctor now!” exclaimed Kari. “Digimon retreat!!” cried Davis The Emperor had been watching all this and just as his forces were about to attack…. “No! Let them go…..WORMMON” “Yes, Master?” “Were is the next gate out of the Digital World?” “About two miles away sir.” “Get me there now!” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~ The gang had soon reached the small TV. The Digimon went back to their previous state and Hawkmon ran to help Kari and Cody hold Yolei. “Let’s hurry you guys.” Davis said as he brought his digivice to the TV and he along with his digimon disappeared. Soon the others had done the same except Kari and Yolei. As Kari was about to transport both humans and digimon back to the really world, a giant blast came flying through the trees and hit the small gateway. Kari, Yolei, and their digimon were scattered along the ground. “Retrieve the one with the hat on.” Kari slowly opened as she heard the dark voice of the Emperor. The other Digimon were out cold and Yolei was slowly being picked up by one of the salve Digimon. She was then handed into the Emperors hands and slowly he started off. “COME BACK HERE!!!” cried Kari as she tried to get up. The Emperor looked back at her and gave one of his evil laughs before he was out of site. Kari slowly tried to lift herself. “I’ve…got…to..” but she soon blackout. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ken continued to hold this almost life-less creature in his arms, while he rid the back of one of his slaves to his base. After just a few moments she began to shiver. He looked down at her and noticed her flushed checks. His sense of touch picked up the shivering and coldness of her body. “What’s wrong with her Wormmon??” He said as he knelt down so the tiny digimon could exam her. He had become like a child, un-sure of what to do. Wormmon put out a tiny claw to her head, but soon pulled it back. “She’s sick master, she needs a doctor.” He turned his head to his slave taxi service and called. “HURRY UP!!!” The DarkTrannymon quicken his pace and soon the base was in sight. As he reached the platform he jumped off with Yolei in his arms and began to walk quickly inside. Wormmon was the next to jump down, and was soon by his masters side. “Wormmon, get out the FIRST AID kit and prepare a bed.” “Yes, master…but…” “BUT WHAT!?” “but why are you caring so much about this human? I thought she was your prisoner?” “A PRISONER IS NO GOOD IF IT’S DEAD, NOW IS IT?!?!?” “No Master, I’ll get on it.” he said as he started down another hallway. ~~~~~~~~~ Two Hours Later ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “We should have realized that our retreat was to easy….” Said a very depressed Cody. Kari and the other Digimon had been retrieved and were brought back to the real world. “I should have done something, something more….” “Don’t say that Kari, you did the best you could.” Reassured TK “What are we gonna do? If Yolei doesn’t go home, her parents are gonna get worried.” Stated Davis “We’ll have to make up something till we can get her back.” “I’m NOT lying again.” stated Cody. “Don’t worry, I will. I’ll call her parents and tell them she’s staying over my house. It’s the least I can do.” “Good idea Kari. Hopefully we can get her back before tomorrow night.” said TK “WE WILL GET HER BACK BEFORE TOMORROW NIGHT!!” said a very angry, very sad Hawkmon ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “where….where am I?….” asked Yolei as she slowly lifted her head. Her head was very heavy and it need the support of her hands so as not to fall back. She then examined her new surroundings. It was a beautiful pink, gold, and black room lit just right. There were large, but operate pieces of furniture everywhere that made her feel like a princess. She stood up so as to get a better look at her new room, when she passed by a mirror. She stopped in mid-step and returned to the mirror. She was in knew clothes. Silk pajamas, the exact shade as her hair. When a small gust of wind came by she shivered and began to rub her left arm, when her hand came across something on her wrist. It was black wrist band with small Digital writing on. She continued to look at it as she slowly made herself to the glass doors, so as to shut it. She then gasped. Was this place floating?!? It was! The view was gorgeous with the sun setting under large snow-capped mountains. Below that was a valley with a few scattered trees and TONS of flowers. She took in the whole view as she made her way to the edge of the deck and leaned over the side just a little. “Beautiful isn’t it?” came a voice behind her. She spun around to see the Digimon Emperor standing by the glass doors. Though the expression on her face was full angry, his face (at least his lips anyway, his eyes were hidden behind his glasses) was calm as he walk next. She had completely stiffened and continued to watch him as he leaned against the balcony and took in the panorama view. “Well?” he asked “Well what?” she asked not taking her eyes off him. “Isn’t it beautiful?” She slowly deluded her gaze off him and to the view. “Yea…” she said in a dreamy state. The view was beautiful, breath-taking really. It was like the POV of a cloud. After a few moments of silence, she shook these thoughts away and turned her attention back to the Emperor. “How did I get here? and why have you brought me here??” she said in a low, but angry tone. “You know, the Digital World really looks a lot prettier without my control towers, maybe I sound revert to Dark Land mines or something like that….” “Stop trying to change the….” “..don’t you think so?” “Well…yes, I mean no, I mean…THAT”S NOT WHAT I’M ASKING!” He finally took his gaze away from the view and turned to her with a smile. This took Yolei back, was he really smiling?? The only time she had seen him smile was when he was doing something bad, this was a actually smile! The expression soon changed to his old evil smile as he stood up-right and walked closer to her. Yolei took as many steps back as she could before she felt the balcony against her back. He came about 10 inches near her before he stopped. “Get this straight. The only reason I brought you here is because I’m using you as my prisoner. Your allowed almost anywhere in this base, but if you try and escape the base the band around your wrist will send a small electrical shock through your system that will paralyzes you. It will also do this if you try to go into my engine room or dungeon room. Do I make myself clear?” Yolei mad an angry face and grunted softly. “Good. Now I’ve got plans for you. So stay put.” “What happens if I refuse to do what you say?” Suddenly she felt a small shock course through her body and she fell to the ground. “OH! I almost forgot!” He lifted his right hand to reveal a small control. “I have a remote control for that wrist band as well.” She slowly stood back up and watched him make his way to the door. “WAIT!” she called. He stopped in mid-step. “What is it?” “Were you the one who…did you…” “No I didn’t dress you. I had one of my servants take care of that.” “That was my second question.” “What was the first?” he asked, back still towards her. “Were you the one who took care of me?” He didn’t answer, but instead let the silence answer it for him. Finally he spoke. “I’ll be sending someone her to fetch you soon.” He then walked out and began to close the door when he heard… “Thank you.” He then shut the door and began to walk down the hallway. Slowly a small half smile came across his face. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It had been twenty minutes since the Emperor had come to visit her. She slowly peeked her head out the door and looked around. Presently, her stomach grumbled. “I’m so hungry! I should have eaten that piece of fruit….oh well! If I’m allowed anywhere I guess I’m allowed into the….” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “…FRIDGE!!” Yolei cried as she looked into the refrigerator FULL of food. Yolei had snuck out of her room, and after 10 minutes of roaming the halls had found her way to the kitchen. She then began to make herself a “lit” dinner! *heheheheheheh….* *Back in her room* (knock knock knock) “Miss. Yolei, Ken told me….Miss Yolei?” Wormmon looked around the now empty room. “..Oh dear….” *In the Control Room 2 minutes later* “WHAT DO YOU MEAN ‘SHE’S NOT THERE’??” Wormmon cringed as he yelled at “The room was empty when I got there, Master.” “Your worthless!!” he grunted through his teeth before he began to search through the base with his monitor system. Pictures of the base popped up all over, but none showed Yolei. “Where could she be?!?” he grunted. “Right here.” Ken turned around to see Yolei, dumbfounded, and with tons of food in her hand. “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!?” he yelled. “umm…master I think she was in the kitchen…” “THAT WAS A RETROICAL QUESTION MORON!” Wormmon cringed, but Yolei soon stepped in front of him. “Hey! Don’t yell at him cause he answered your moronic question!!” “WHAT DID YOU SAY??” “THERE YOU GO AGAIN WITH YOUR DUMB QUESTIONS THAT YOU ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWERS TOO!!!” *lighting bolts between the two* *grunts* “I don’t have time for this! I called you here for a reason, so LISTEN UP!” He turned his back towards her and started to show her a landscape of the Digital World. “Now, your friends will probably start searching for you soon, we should have a surprise attack ready for them at the nearest gateway for where I took you. Since I found that to be the most likely place they’ll start look. I want you too…..ARE YOU LISTENING!!” He cried as he looked to see Yolei feeding Wormmon a sandwich. “No, can you repeat that?” *Ken slaps his forehead* ~~~~~1 Hour and many interruptions later ~~~~~~~~ “Now did you get all that?’ Ken asked out of breath and tried of explaining. “Yea, I got it after the second time you said it an hour ago.” “THEN WHY AM I STILL EXPLAINING IT TO YOU?” “Distraction. While you were talking, my Digi Buds came and left.” She said as she smiled to herself. Ken quickly spun around in his chair and looked frantically at all his monitors. None of them showed the DigiDestined anywhere in the Digital World. He slowly gave turned back around and gave her a evil stare. “…oh your good…” “I know” she said with a small smile of pride. ~~~~~ A Few Minutes Later ~~~~~ “I hate being good.” She said as she slumped onto her bed. He had, for reasons unknown ( ^-^ ) , locked her in her quarters till he was….rested. Suddenly her head shot up and a small light bulb flicked on. “I KNOW!” ~~~~~ A Few Second Later ~~~~~ “WORMON!! WHERE ARE MY BROWNIES!!” Ken was angrily searching the ship. Wormon was “supposed” to make him some brownies, but once he left he never came back. Suddenly a small enslaved Digimon of his came tumbling around a corner. Ken looked down as it picked itself up and ran off laughing. “THERE WILL BE NO LAUGHING ON MY SHIP!!…and ahhh…NO RUNNING!!” Suddenly Yolei, Wormon, and a assortment of other Digimon came racing by. “GET THE PIG!” “TAG HIM, TAG HIM, TAG HIM!” It only took Ken two seconds to respond “STOOOOOPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!” All froze and slowly turned to see an enraged Ken. “Exposed” “Busted” “We can’t think of a word.” He then began to blurt out all his frustration to the group. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?? HOW DID SHE GET OUT?? WHY ARE YOU HAVING FUN?? HOW DO PIGS FLY?? WHY IS DAVIS SUCH A MORON?? AND WHERE ARE MY BROWNIES!!!!!!!????????” Wormon was about to speak when Yolei stood in front of him and whisper “I’ll handle this” “1. We’re playing tag. 1. I bribed Wormon with telling him your secret stash of cookies if he let me out. 2. Because your ship is duller than my Aunt Sally at a buffet table. 3. Because pigs have wings…duh! 4. Because Davis is…Davis…there is no explanation to his moronity. 5. Your brownies are…..” “ARE???” “…Gone…” *flames in eyes* “WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BROWNIES!!???” “We ate them, Master” “We got hungry after running around so much and needed an energy boast so we took a break and ate your brownies. Wormon you have to give me the recipe!” “OW There so easy to make! I’ll have to show you….” *Ken grumbles loudly and is about to pounce onto them* Yolie starts to get nervous, but soon devices an idea “I got something that’s just as sweet though!” *suddenly calms down* “…you do?…” “Yea! Come here!” “What?” he said as he walked over to her. She put her hand out, which had been formed into fist, and spoke. “Open it.” Ken grumbled as he opened her hand to find nothing. He was about to retaliate when she grabbed his hand and quickly kissed him on the cheek. She than let go and ran away as fast as she could go, giggling the whole way. ………silence…….. “Master….Master??…” “Yes, Wormon?” “What was that?” “Umm…I think it’s called a peck” *peck on the cheek, you know what I mean (^-^) * “Well, what should I do?” Ken finally snapped out of his sorta dreamy state and responded in angry. “Watch her!! and…..MAKE ME SOME MORE BROWNIES!” End of Chapter 1 Author Notes - Brownies, Pigs, And Kisses oh my!
