Chapter 2 Reunion

As the smoke cleared Noin was shocked when she realised that she was unscathed!  The darkness about her was due to another mobile suit standing before the Taurus.  It was obscured by dust but it was plainly a huge suit.  It towered above her own and was bigger than any Gundam.  As the dust cleared she could see that it was white and blue with a high crested helm and two massive engines on its back.  A shield held before it was blocking her from attacks.

Tallgeese?  Him?  Here? Now?

Her mind was a whirl and her heart a flutter as the voice that had haunted her dreams came over the radio.

“Noin?”  It demanded, worry apparent in its tone, “are you alright?”

“Yes.  My suits damaged but I’m okay.”  She was going to say more when he abruptly shot off into the thick of the battle leaving the shield to protect her.  You better not die on me before I have a chance to see you again.

Now all she had to worry about was controlling herself the next time she saw him.  She knew the battle would soon be over, both the ones outside and inside her.

Zechs cut down his foes, white hot rage filling him.  How dare they try and hurt her.  HOW DARE THEY!!

He slashed left and right.  Fired the cannon again and again obliterating foe after foe.  The visor flashed and the new energy whip lashed out slicing a group of Virgos apart with ease.   The dolls had not been programmed with such a fast, powerful suit in mind.  The power, speed and response was phenomenal.  Howard was truly a genius he considered as he annihilated another group of suits.  Spinning away from an attack he fired the large cannon vaporising a row of opponents.

Not one was given a shred of mercy for their crime.  He didn’t care if their might be human pilots there.  They had signed their own death warrants by attacking his home, his sister and his…  What was Noin to him?  His thoughts were interrupted by more assailants.  His inner turmoil would have to wait.  He was impressed with this suit though.

The defenders, with the help of the Tallgeese, put the Romefeller forces to rout but at great cost to themselves.  Zechs pulled away from any pursuit to find his distraction of the last few hours.  How could she occupy his thoughts even when he was fighting?  He was sorry for those that had been killed and for their families.  Yet he realised, almost ashamed in a way, that as long as Noin was okay, he didn’t give a damn.

He found her waiting impatiently by her battered Taurus.  She smiled nervously but her eyes lit up as he jumped down from the Tallgeese’s cockpit, his hair swirling around him.

“Lucrezia.”  He whispered as he came up to her.  His voice was calm but his mind was fighting a losing battle with its body to stop himself from just grabbing her and crushing her against him as he had dreamed of during too many lonely nights without her.

“Zechs.” She whispered in reply fingering her hair nervously.   He’d used her first name.  He hadn’t done that since…She ran her tongue over suddenly dry lips.  She longed for Zechs to cover her mouth  with those delicious lips of his own.  He was so gorgeous, standing there before her like some angel with his long hair, perfect features and stormy blue eyes.

“It’s been a while Noin.”  God, she was even more beautiful than he remembered.  That flawless pale skin.  The dark hair she had let grow again, much to his delight and those sparkling blue eyes.  On top of that, the dirt that had smudged across her cheek made her look ridiculously appealing.  She was a vision that could never be described by anything as base as mere words.

“Six months and 4 days.”  She replied promptly with a slight smile.  That smile made Zech’s mind do a somersault.    He was rapidly losing it.  He could feel his palms twitching with a fiery desire to grab her and taste her once more.

Noin lost it first and flung herself at him, knocking the wind from him as he was barrelled against the leg of the Tallgeese III.
“Zechs!”  She shouted, tears of joy in her eyes.  “You’re alright.  You’re alright.” She whispered in elation and happiness clutching at him with a desperate strength.  He was safe and as beautiful as ever and she was holding him in her arms.  The world felt good once more.

Zechs was just beginning to enjoy the feeling of her in his arms again when she abruptly pulled away and slapped him, hard.

“Six months!” she yelled her face going scarlet with rage, “And not a damn word.  Not even to let me know that you’re alright.  Do you know what it’s been like.  Hoping your safe.  Praying you’re still alive.”  She looked at his face again before her expression softened,  “Oh Zechs!”  Noin cried, her voice breaking, once more flinging herself on him.  This time, though, she kissed him like she was trying to eat him, ravenously devouring his lips.  Showing him with her body what she could never express with words.  She couldn’t stay angry.  She was just so happy to see him safe again.

Zechs was reeling from the slap and her words.  Her mood changes were throwing him off completely.  He had wanted to explain that he just wanted to not implicate the Sanc kingdom, especially her, in his actions.  Then she’d kissed him like a starving person and all thought left his mind apart from a desire to not let go of her and just enjoy.

“Zechs…Its been six months since I saw you last.”  She whispered as she caressed his cheek when they eventually parted, “I…I missed you.”  She said quietly, blushing furiously.

He just smiled at her, “6 days was too long without you Luce.  I missed you every second I was away from you.”  He tilted her face up to look at him, struggling for control, “I can’t bare to be away from you again.” He murmured to her.  His joy that she was safe making his heart speak for him before he realised it.

Noin smiled, revelling in his presence.  His words made her feel wonderful even if she wasn’t sure he felt as deeply as she did.  Just being near him made her whole body feel as if she were travelling at the speed of light.   All because of this beautiful, wonderful man who she could never articulate her feelings to.

He hesitantly stroked her cheek.  He could hardly control his desperate need for her.  She rubbed her face against his palm like a cat but quickly remembered herself when the sound of other suits approached them.

Damn, thought Zechs, I’ll have to talk to her tonight.

Damn, thought Noin, I’ll have to corner him later.  Keep your strength up Marquise.  He he, you’re going to need it.

Zechs looked ready for battle again but Noin put her hand on his shoulder.

“It’s okay.  It’s just the Gundam pilots.”

“Oh.”  Their hands and eyes lingered on each other a moment longer.  “Let’s check on your suit.”  Zechs smiled and they both set to work trying to look like they were examining Noin’s suit for damage though all the time stealing glances at each other when they thought no-one else was watching.

To say the others were surprised to see Zechs would be an understatement.  The Gundam pilots were shocked to see the huge suit towering above Noin’s as well as the tall, blonde, figure that was busily checking the damage to her own.

“Are you alright Noin.”  Asked Quatre worriedly coming over to her.  He glanced darkly at Zechs.

“Yes.  Thanks to Zechs.  How are you two?”  She noticed Heero walk over to Zechs.

“We’re both fine.” Quatre replied, watching the two pilots cautiously with Noin.

“Zechs.”  Heero said coolly.

“Yuy.”  Zechs replied in kind.

“Thanks for your help.”  He offered his hand.  Zechs shook it.

“Thank you for looking after my sister.”

Heero just gave him a nod before returning to his suit and flying off without another word.

Zechs’ meeting with Relena was a strange one.  Neither knew how to react to each other and they had just stood looking at each other until Noin lost patience and took charge.
“Here, Zechs meet your sister.  Relena meet your brother.”  She took their hands and brought them together in a near handshake.  They both laughed at the others nervousness.

Later that night Zechs again sat in his room brooding.  Seeing his sister had been a wonderful experience.  They had talked for several before parting for the day.  She was an intelligent, funny young woman and had much of their mother about her.  It had been a while since he had just simply talked to a person.  With most it was about war.  With Noin…well he rarely had a chance to use his mouth for talking.  They had talked about everything from the attack to those around them.  He noticed how she seemed quite amused about how much he talked about Noin but had also noticed how much she talked about Yuy.
He was very unhappy though.  He hadn’t had much of a chance to see Noin, alone, for the last few hours.  If not seeing her had been hard then seeing her, kissing her, for only a few minutes before being separated again was purgatory.  The memory of her delicate lips and firm little body against him made him shudder with desire. Zechs couldn’t help himself.   He craved for the strength Noin gave him, the security he felt whenever she was near him, how he felt when she was in his arms.  All the pain, sadness and violence of the world melted away at her touch.
This has to stop.  I can’t go on like this.  I…I need to talk to her.

Resolute he left his room and went to see the object of his obsession.

Noin also sat thinking.  Why hasn’t he come to see me?  I don’t think I could have given him any more ‘come on’ signals.  Does he not want me?  No, he kissed me just as much as I kissed him.  Oh, he tasted so good…

She still felt rather embarrassed at how little control she had had at that point.  She couldn’t help herself though.  He looked so very handsome and she hadn’t realised how much she’d longed for his touch until that moment.  Longed to just be in his presence.  She ran her fingers over her lips recalling the well remembered feel of his mouth on hers and his arms around her.

I can’t help it.  I need to see him or I’ll never be able to sleep.

She left her room and ran almost straight into Zechs Marquise.

They just stared at each other for a moment,  both blushing as visions of each other came, promptly, into their minds.  They both looked at the walls, floor, ceiling anywhere but each other.

“Noin” he whispered huskily as he rubbed the back of his neck.
“Zechs” she whispered, licking her dry lips.

“It’s good to see you.”  He wanted to reach out a hand and run his fingers through her hair but managed to restrain himself.  She was wearing jeans and a suede jacket.  The buttons looked eminently undoable.   “You look good.”

What the hell am I talking about!  She’s loveliest thing I’ve ever seen.  ‘You look good’ !  I’m an Idiot!!

Noin thought Zechs coughed or said something but she couldn’t of told you what it was if her life depended on it.  She felt too coy in his presence.  This needed rectifying

“I wanted to talk to you about - will you look at me Zechs?” she asked, impatience breaking through her nerves.  He raised his head and for a moment she was entranced in those sky blue orbs.

“What did you want to say?” he asked distracted.

“I said we need to talk about a few things.” She abruptly realised they looked like a pair of nervous teenagers standing here in the corridor, almost afraid to meet each others gaze, uneasily shifting their feet.

Why were they so tense around each other?  They had made love countless times, spent so much time together yet here they were like a couple of kids on a first date.

Zechs realised, that it was because he hadn’t really been prepared for his reaction to seeing her.  His heart had leapt and his mind gone blank.  He was also worried.  Why was she nervous?  Was she nervous of him?  Then why did she want to talk to him so much she was going to find him in the middle of the night?

Noin had similar worries.  For her, the sun had come out and all the birds had started had sing when she had seen his face.  She wasn’t sure how much more she could contain her longing for him but why was he so shy with her?

She gestured for him to enter and they sat together on the couch.

“Thank you for what you did with Relena.”  He said as he sat down, staring into her eyes.

“You’re welcome.”  She beamed, “It’s not your fault you’ve not been here.  I was only trying to help get you started.”  Her smile faded as his face darkened and he turned away from her.

“I should have been here from the start.  I shouldn’t have put the people I care about at such terrible risk because of my ideals.”

Zechs looked so forlorn and lost sitting there, looking out the window.  She put her arms around his neck wanting him to look at her.  To tell him he shouldn’t worry.  That it was okay.

“Hey?” she said softly, nudging his head with hers, like a horse would its mate.

He lifted his eyes up to hers and they both lost themselves in the depths of what they saw in the other.

He was too cute.  He was too close.  She had to do it.  She had to.  Noin leant forward and brushed her lips against his.  The softness and firmness exactly as remembered in her fevered dreams.

The kiss deepened.  It was different to the one from a few hours ago.  This was soft and sweet whereas before had been about raw passion and relief.  Zechs’ arms slowly wrapped around her slim waist and her hands tangled themselves in his shimmering hair.  He couldn’t resist such a woman, he could deny her nothing.

“Zechs.”  Noin croaked, ”I want you.  I NEED you.  NOW!”  To emphasise this she rubbed herself against him.

Zechs smiled and gently picked Noin up and laid her down on the bed amazed at his own self control as he slowly undressed her.

He covered her body with his own, loving the feel of her flesh against him and her hands roaming over his back.  With a gentleness he didn't really feel, he showered her face, her neck and her whole body with open-mouthed kisses, licking, tasting, marking her skin.  Branding her as his own.

“You taste delicious.”  He whispered as his hands roamed over her body.  He knew it so well.  All the little crests and hollows that left her gasping in delight and desire.  Conversely, she knew all his and was driving him into a state of almost painful arousal with her delicate, questing fingers.

He ran his fingers through her dark curls and she ground herself against him.  Losing herself in the feelings and pleasure he was creating in her.  She could feel herself getting close when he abruptly removed his fingers.

“Zechs?  Why?” she whimpered, frustrated and confused.  The removal of his hands and the removal of his mouth from hers feeling like part of herself had been lost.

“Patience Luce.”  With that he slowly entered her waiting heaven with his tongue.  He pulled her legs to rest on his shoulders and ran his hands up her stomach to grasp her breasts as he licked her with devastatingly accurate flicks.  Noin threw her head back and moaned in utter delight.  In a few short minutes her fingers dug into his hair and his name was extolled to the heavens as he lapped up her juices.

He moved back up her body to look into her face. She was flushed with desire and her eyes begged him to continue.  She arched off the bed and seized his lips with her own.  The taste of herself on his mouth intoxicating.

Zechs moved his lips down her elegant neck to the swell of her ample breasts. Sucking and gently biting the soft flesh he moved around her nipples before she lost patience and brought his mouth to them herself.  He sucked fiercely eliciting even more whimpers from her.  Noin lifted his head from her and looked desperately at him.

“Zechs.  I need you now.”  Her eyes and voice demanding and pleading at the same time.

He grinned and gently entered her, gasping as he did so.  He felt her legs clamp around his waist, making certain he couldn’t escape even if he wanted to.  Slowly, he began to move in her.  Soft, gentle thrusts.  He growled with the effort of controlling himself and not plundering her like a Viking attack.

Digging her nails into his buttocks Noin let out a series of cries that ranged from whimpers to shrieks of ecstasy. She’d never forgotten the feeling of being with the man she loved, cherishing it on those lonely nights.  Memories were powerful, but were as substantial as mist compared to the reality of being with him again.

“Oh Zechs!  Yes!  Yes darling!  More!  More!”  her voice rising in pitch as he snapped and drove into her body faster and faster, desperate to please her, their breathing becoming synchronised and more and more ragged.  She cried out her desire into the night not caring if any living creature heard.

Zechs sought desperately for control as he went deeper and deeper into her, urged on ever more by her cries of pleasure, trying to fulfil her.  He clasped a firm buttock with his hand pulling her tight against him once more.  He loved her body.  It was so strong and firm, a warriors body, and yet it was so soft and smooth, begging to be caressed.  His hands went back to her breasts and again teased her eager nipples making her moan wantonly.  Finally she could take no more and her body quaked with ecstasy and her yell reverberated around the room as Noin erupted and she raked her nails down his back, drawing blood.

This, coupled with her body clamping around him, caused him to lose his tenuous grip and empty himself into her with a loud groan of agonised delight.

Noin lay trying to catch her breath as it only came in short little gasps.  She could feel Zechs heart pounding in time to hers at a rapid rate.  He kissed the arch of her neck as he rolled onto his back taking her with him.  Noin moved down and attacked his collarbone leaving what was sure to be a large love bite.  She moved back up. The temptation to leave one on his neck to much.  When she had abused his flesh she let a grin spread across her face at how he would react.  She didn’t realise she had a matching pair on her own neck.

They lay in bed  enjoying each others presence.  Zechs gently stroked Noins’ face as they stared at one another so many words unspoken.  The desire to tell her how totally and unreservedly he loved her was awesome.  He had no fears, no doubts about his love for her.  Yet he was terrified at the thought of her not loving him in return.  All he needed in his life was to have this woman in his arms.  All the pain and cares in his heart evaporated when he held her close.  Without her, there was only darkness…

Noin was almost purring at how she felt at this moment.  She was lying in the arms of the only man she would, or could, ever love.  Just being here with him was paradise for her.  All it needed for perfection was for him to tell her he loved her.  In her heart she knew he never would though.  He never betrayed any real emotions to anyone.  She could wait nonetheless.  Wait for the day she would finally know for certain if her own unconditional need was reciprocated.  For now she just needed the way he stared at her and kissed her, it was gentle, loving and, she would realise later, possessive…
