My Goals and My Major

Sample Student Paragraph
I am here at the Community College of Philadelphia to study English. When my English is very good, I will study biology, chemistry, physics, sociology, physiology, and calculus. I will study all of these courses because I want to transfer to a four-year university to attain my major and goal. My major requires me to take the courses above and courses in medical pharmacology, toxicology, chemical pharmacology, medical biochemistry, medical physiology, and cardiovascular pharmacology. My goal is to become a pharmacologist. Pharmacology is the science of detection and measurement of the effects of drugs or other chemicals on biological systems. I especially wish to study the therapeutic and toxic actions of drugs in humans. Also, I plan to study how to design and discover new agents and to test and improve old ones. Finally, I wish to work in a hospital as a clincal phramacologist to help people. I will be glad to become a pharmacologist. I will gain more self-confidence, knowledge and experience. I will be able to help people by using my knowledge.
