Greetings, Welcome to my gallery of artwork. I ask, that as you look at these pictures freely, you remember, that I have given them for enjoyment. These are my creations, and as such, I have a tendancy to view them as my children. Please respect these pictures for their uniqueness, and individuality. And remember....It's not nice to steal.. |
Lupos Guru......The first in my collection, was inspired by a nightmare I had, not so long ago, involving a werewolf, a wizard, and a young woman whose quest for justice and answers, leads her to an undeniable truth.....True love conquers all... |

Shen and Jason.....This was my first attempt at using the photoshop program on my computer. Up until then, I believed that the only TRUE artwork could be done with a pen or pencil... I was wrong.....Thank goodness. |

Drizzt and Guen.....What can I say...Those of you who know the names need no explanation of this one. Those of you who don't?....Well.... Several years ago, I had spent some time with a group of friends who were heavily involved with fantasy oriented roleplaying games. And one of them had suggested a novel by R.A Salvatore, whom I had never heard of until that time. I did however like fantasy novels, and from what my friend had said, these novels had ALL the elements I was seeking in a book. Visions of magic, goblins, elfin princesses, and magical scimitars, seemed to grab me, and pull me in. The novel was entitled "The Crystal Shard", and from the moment I picked it up.....I was hooked. So...To R.A. Salvatore, I hope I did your friends justice, its the least I could do, after what they did for me....Thank You. |

And finally...... This Piece of artwork is perhaps the scariest experience I have ever had as an artist... I had never had a picture, sketch or drawing, take control of my hand before until this one did... Each line, each smudge, each curve, they all felt guided. I had never done anything of this sort or magnitude before, having contented my self with cartoons and comic books, yet it really is one of the best pieces (I think), I have ever worked on. The actual drawing size is aproximately 20"x30", and is possibly the largest picture I have ever done. George Lucas had no idea what type of an impact he would have on a seven year old boy who was out with his dad to see a movie nearly twenty-five years ago.....but that little boy does. My father is gone now, but thanks to George Lucas....I will have a connection with my father, and my sons for as long as I live. As I am writing this, my oldest boy is seven, and I will never forget the look on his face the first time he experienced a pod race, or ,when he told me with wide-eyed youthful exhuberance "I want to see it again!!!!" |
And so the circle goes.....Thank you for stopping by, and for taking a few minutes to look at my pictures. If you would like to use these drawings, or ask about some of my other work, please feel free to email me... |

The Axe of Moradin.....Was drawn as a type of tribute to the group of gamers I was hanging out with at the time... Some of the best times were had with them, they were, and are a great bunch of people, unique in their strengths AND their weaknesses... Someone once said "The greatest adventures, are the ones that are shared...." Oh yeah....It was Drizzt.... Thanks again Mr. Salvatore.... |

Untitled.....I love this picture for the sheer dynamics, and facial expression of the character. I've always loved the star wars franchise, so when an opportunity came to sit in on one of my friend Mo's adventures....naturally I took it. As i sat there listening, the character just started to appear... The actual picture is nothing more than a 2" pencil sketch, but you would be amazed at what you can accomplish with a computer and the right graphics program.... However...should anyone have a suggestion for a name, feel free to lay quill to my guest book........... |

No title for this one either folks....sorry. I just wanted do do this after watching the tv show "Beauty and the Beast". Vincent and Katherine's love captivated me. For a television show to portray love in such a favorable light, and to have it be welcomed by so many with such open arms, was a statement in itself. His voice...enthralling, and her eyes....beauty. For a time, we were reminded of fairy tales and happy endings..... |

The Blackthornes.....You'll notice the name, it sits at the top of this page. About ten years ago, I had reached a point in my life, where I had given up on love, and life in general. It was perhaps the lonliest time I have ever experienced, and the darkest.. I had been invited to a friends birthday party, and I had nothing else to do, so I couldn't weasel my way out....I was trapped. So I went.... When I first saw her...It was like a rush of emotions hit me all at once. Fear, happiness, sadness, anxiety, and calm..It was almost too much, but at the same time.....not enough. We talked the whole time...about EVERYTHING, and when the time came to take her home, I found I didn't want to... When we finally got married, everyone was so supportive....they all gave us six months... Ten years, and four kids later, shes still my best friend and companion. She makes me want to be a better person, and at the same time, she makes me love myself the way I am.. I adopted the pseudonym "Jason Blackthorne", as a way to create an ideal, y'know? Something for me to aspire to.... She makes me feel like I'm already there.... So this picture is for her..... |

The Wolf Maiden...There is something truly bewitching about a wolf. Something in the eyes. It draws you in, pulls you closer.....But not too close. Is it fear, danger, strength, hunger, or just passion, pent up energy waiting to bubble out? This picture was done for someone very close to my heart, a wolf maiden herself. For you Nokomis.... |
