Summary: My God! What a long one! If it's Rumiko's you know by now that the series is going to be long as Ranma! Yet it is different although you will not find that it is as humoristic as Ranma, Inuyasha has its funny moments. How to explain it, well a long long time ago, to be specific 500 hundred years, there was a time where yokai's walked the earth. The story starts off with Inuyasha a Hanyou (half-demon, half human) is running away with the Shikon no Tama (it's a crystal ball with a lot of power). He stole it from a Mikp named Kikyo so that he could become a whole demon. Well he does not get far, Kikyo shoots a arrow that pins him and at the same time seals him to a tree. Kiyko dies and is reencarnated 500 years later into a girl named Kagome. (Let me catch my breath) Kagome one day goes to the well of her family shrine falls in and ends up in Inuyasha's world. Obviously she unseals him, I won't say why or how, but to make a long story short the Shikkon is stolen from her, she shoots a arrow to kill the beast but instead shatters it into thousands of pieces that she now along with Inuyasha have to collect, and along the she meets people and has to race against Naraku to get the shards back. Hey, I tired my best to summarize but there is just way too much!
Episodes: Rumored to end at 167 Movies: 4
Personal Opinion: Inuyasha is pretty entertaining. It could have been a lot shorter though and there are a lot of unnecessary extentions in the storyline. But all in all I like it. It is relaxing to watch and a lot of fun. There are characters that you love and others that you wish could have remained as they were, underground. (Watch the series and you will understand what I mean.)
Ranking: Pretty good in general, but I am still waiting to see the end... 4 of 5 |
