What Became of Wash Heights? 2

Here's another map of the present Yoyogi Park area.  It sure would be nice to find a military map of the 1960's that showed all the housing units at Washington Heights.

Yoyogi Park - Paaaarrrrrrttttttyyyy!!

Harajuku Station. Sunday morning has light traffic.  (Well, Saturday night takes its toll.) Then, as it approaches noon, the station and surrounding streets are jammed with people.

Yoyogi Park: On Sundays and holidays, the paths are thronging with 'takenokozoku' .. young people dancing .. and spectators.

Yoyogi Park is where Japanese young people go to make/break a fashion statement.

I'm wondering: did Elvira, Mistress of the Night, come over here promoting one of her Halloween TV specials .. and the style caught on?  Or did Max Factor give away 10,000 sample cases of black eye makeup?  Contrast (left) traditional schoolgirl outfit with ..??

Acoustic rock on the corner. Heavy metal in the park. No electricity? No prob! We'll use car batteries!
