Frank Tickle
The Adams and Tickle families both came from England about 1890. The Adams settled in the Mildura area, possibly attracted by the positive publicity by the Chaffey enterprise, whose 'Red Book' was widely distributed.

Francis Robert Tickle and Elizabeth Coombe settled in Warnambool, where Elizabeth died 1926 aged 65 and Francis Robert died 1941, aged 83. Their parents names are listed as 'unknown'.
They came from England with Nellie Tickle born 1885 - 1972 aged 87, and Francis William Tickle 1887 - 1944 aged 57. Their Australian-born children are
1. Alice Victoria Tickle 1892 #28127
2. Ernest Tickle 1895 - 1967 aged 72.
3. Arthur Tickle 1896 #24130
4. Laura Tickle 1898 #29859
5. George Tickle 1900 #22877

Lieut Frank William "MC" Tickle of the 8th Bat returned to Australia 13 July 1919, and settled at Red Cliffs, where he is remembered with the eagle lectern.
