Blessed is the man who perseveres under
trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the
crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. James
1:12.
Watch and pray so that you will not fall
into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.
Matthew 26:41.
On reaching the place, he said to them,
"Pray that you will not fall into temptation."
"Why are you sleeping?" he asked them. "Get up and
pray so that you will not fall into temptation." Luke

If this is so, then the Lord knows how to
rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the
day of judgement, while continuing their punishment. 2 Peter 2:9.
Because he himself suffered when he was
tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Hebrews
2:18.
