When You Need Faith
I
tell you the truth, if anyone says to his mountain, "Go, throw yourself
into the sea," and does not doubt it in his heart but believes that what
he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever
you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be
yours. Mark 11:23,24.
So
that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power.
1 Corinthians 2:5.
Clearly
no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will
live by faith."
Galatians 3:11.
In
addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Ephesians
6:16.
Now
faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes
to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly
seek him. Hebrews 11:1,6.
But
when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like
a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
