Personal Log of Deanna Troi

 

It is interesting how attitudes and culture colour what should be assumed to be logic and science.  There we were on Ventax when panic gripped the entire planet as the day of Ardra’s arrival loomed closer.

 

Locked in the arms of ones lover it is hard to empathize with any situation but let me tell you the emotions of an entire planet cannot be waive aside as easily as a terrainian fly.  These people were on the verge of mass suicide!!!

 

I have a secret to tell:  Ardra went to see the Captain with the soul intent of seduction.  She morphed into many a seductress and then conjured me!  Now it has since been proved that she was a consummate con artiste and Data bless him … I nearly said bless his soul. Anyway Data had to arbitrate between the Captain and Ardra.

 

But I digress. What I can’t understand and I suppose I never will is how she got me into Picard’s bedroom and had me virtually make love to the man. My Commanding Officer … there I was offering him the world and me on a platter. God I hope he never finds out that it was really me.  And I hope when these files are found that I am dead at least twenty-five generations.

 

But there you have it. Fear, greed, sex the primal forces that drive beings.

 

Look at the time! I have a date with Beverly. I hear there the chef got some Voltaran chocolate fudge.
