THE AUDITORIUM

WASHINGTON DC

The show was scheduled to start at 2000 and the hall was already jam-packed.  Over the weeks word had got out that Mac was taking part and those who had missed the auction and dammed themselves for the loss ensured they were there and hoped for a spectacular show if not a repeat performance.

The show began on time with a full house.

BACKSTAGE

Mac had a feeling of dread that she could not shake.  Memories of the last Toys for Tots fundraiser that she had taken part in still haunted her.  The pride she felt at raising so much money for her favorite charity was always tempered by the fact that people remembered the infamy of the event and not the good that it did.

Somehow she knew this was another such time.  She couldn't explain it but deep in her bones Mac knew that it would be a memorable night.

Her first mitigative step was to remain in the dressing room.  Last time peeping at the competition had got her more than she bargained for.  She intended to stay put till called.

==========================================

There was a knock on her door.

"Enter"

Turner walked in.  "Hey how you feeling?"

"So far so good.  How is it out there?" She replied.

He shrugged.  "We can take them."

"There was a knock on the door.  "One minute to go Colonel." A voice called.

Mac took a deep breath and stood.

Turner's jaw dropped and eyes bulged as he just stared.

[Oh yes] she thought as she caught his reaction to her [it will be one hell of a night.]

IN THE AUDIENCE

"I'm usually back there getting ready to step forward." Harriett said.

"And now that you have been on both sides how does it compare?"  Harm asked.

"I can't really tell.  Both sides are exciting." She confessed.

"Anyone have an idea of the costume?  I don't think my heart can take a shock like the last time." AJ stated.

All looked at Harm.  "It's a military secret, on a need to know basis.  I don't need to know - so I don't." He said.

"As the coach I don't even know." Harriett informed them.

"So Rabb" AJ was about to pounce "Care to share what happened to your arm?"

"The Colonel broke it?" Bud teased.

"Yes" Came Harm's deadpan answer.

The group went sober.  "You're kidding right? Sir?" Bud sputtered.

"No."

As the Master of Ceremonies stepped onto the stage to start the show AJ said "Hell of a love session Rabb."

Harm said nothing.

BACKSTAGE

Mac peeped at the audience.

The place was packed!  She spotted Harm and smiled.  He was with the JAG staff. After all these years he still identified with JAG.

She prepared herself [Tonight was business.  Show business to be sure but I cannot and will not focus on anyone out there.  My mission is to execute a duet with my partner and to win.  Any by GOD that is what I will do!]

==========================================

The MC introduced Mac and Turner and they stepped out to a thunderous applause, they could barely hear the intro and this was a rock song!

Mac moved onto the stage in Delilah mode.  If that woman could control Samson then she was about to control Turner.  The poor guy would not know what hit him.  If rehearsals had been hot the show would smolder and burst into flames.

She crooked her finger at him.

Turner sensed the change in his partner.  They hadn't been working long together but he knew Mac's drive to win and truth be told her feared the sexuality that oozed from her with no effort.   Now here he was about to face this same sexuality tuned to over load.  Lord take care of this good ole boy he prayed.

With the use of hands free microphones he was able to step forward, slip an arm round Mac's waist and whisper into her ear for all to hear.

Here we are folks, the dream we all dream of

Boy versus girl in the World Series of Love

Tell me, have U got the look?

The crowd went silent.  All eyes were fixed on the stage.  Both Mac and Turner were in skintight leather, with Mac in black and Turner in white.

He pulled away and began to prowl around Mac and she turned in place to follow his moves.  In that outfit every muscle that flexed could be seen not only by the audience but also by Mac; who stood right in front of the man and window-shopped.

He laid into the song.

U walked in, I woke up

I've never seen a pretty girl look so tough

Baby, U got that look ah

Color U peach and black

So engrossed was the audience in the body play between the performers that no one had noticed the whip until Mac cracked it.  The surprised audience reacted as one.

She answered and then strutted over pulling him in with each step.

U've got the look, U've got the hook

Sho'nuff do be cookin' in my book

Your face is jammin', your body's heck-a-slammin'

If love is good, let's get 2 rammin'

U got the look, U got the look

She finally made it all the way over and released him from the instrument.  He instantly caught her and enclosed her in his arms.

They began to move as one.  Turner strutted forward with Mac stepping backwards in sync with him and the whip dragging in their wake.

***        ***        ***        ***

Looka here

U got the look (U got the look)

U must'a took (U must'a took)

A whole hour just 2 make up your face, baby

Still holding her Turner faced the audience and sang:

Did I say an hour? My face is red; I stand corrected (I stand corrected)

***        ***        ***        ***

She slipped out and shook her finger at him.  Turner's eyes were glued on her as she moved away.

***        ***        ***        ***

U've got the look (U've got the look)

U sho'nuff do be cookin' in my book (Slammin'!)

If love is good, let's get 2 rammin'

U got the look, U got the look

Again Turner looked at the audience.

He looked at her horrified, then explained to the hall.

Mac was proficient with the whip as Turner faced the spectators she cracked it and wrapped the end round him and pulled as they moved towards each other and dueted.

***        ***        ***        ***

The harmony was perfect and they had the hall jumping.  The younger folk among the spectators had taken to the aisles to dance.

Turner in a trademark move faced the audience and sang.

***        ***        ***        ***

Here we are folks, the dream we all dream of ...

***        ***        ***        ***

Mac had the last word or was it lyric?

***        ***        ***        ***

============================

Mac, Turner, Harriett and the rest of the audience were not surprised when Team JAG won the competition.
