1937 LOCAL
AJ CHEDWIGGEN"S HOUSE
"This was a good suggestion Harriett. A bar-b-que instead of some stuffy gathering
for the wedding shower." Carolyn Immes said; "Yeah this was a good
idea." she nodded.
"Why thank you ma'am." She replied and smiled.
"How she managed to not only get the Admirals place but
to throw him out too is beyond me." Jackie Matoni said.
"I for one will be happy if I don't get called to bail
my own fiancé and his pals." Mac
said to chuckles.
Most of the invitees had gone home leaving the JAG
ladies. They were all lounged out on
the deck. Someone switched the
backlights on.
"Anyone need their drinks refreshed?" Harriett asked.
"We know where the cooler is Harriett." Mac said.
"Well I for one had grave doubts on a romance for these
two much less a wedding. But I am glad to be around to see it." Lauren confided.
"Hear hear." Carloyn raised his bottle of beer at
Mac.
"Anyone remembers their first meeting?" Jackie asked.
"None of us were there but Bud told me that the Admiral
warned them. Told them straight off no hanky panky they had to work
together!" Harriett revealed.
"I had to be pulled of a double homicide to work with a
squid." Mac related. "I couldn't believe it! Anyway I traipsed off to the Rose Garden to
meet this Navy person and there comes Adonis with an
Admiral and an Ensign on his six. He looked at me and I start melting. Turns out what he saw was a ghost and not a savvy Marine."
====================================
This is
it - this is it
Oh this
time I know it's the real thing
I can't
explain what I'm feeling.
I'm lost
for words
I'm in a
daze
Stumbling
amazed while you look that way
====================================
"Apparently he did see a ghost so did Bud."
"Is that why he took so long to shake my hand?"
Mac replied? "Anyway the Admiral did warn us. It seems that he saw all that and more in five seconds and it
took us five years to catch up."
"You really fell in love at first sight?" Harriett
sort confirmation.
"I suppose I can confess. He smiled at me you know that flyboy smile of his and my heart
skipped a beat. I took one look at
Harmon David Rabb Jr. and knew that this was it! No turning back and that some serious mission planning was
needed. Fat lot of good it did me ... we had so many ups and downs and close
calls. But I knew then it was he.
Doubted the logic of that later but at that moment in the Rose Garden I
couldn't explain what I was feeling."
"And if you can believe he was lost for words. He just
stared at her." Harriett dropped another tit bit.
"You sure you weren't there Harriett?" Lauren
asked. They all chuckled.
====================================
Ooh you
smiled at me yeah
And suddenly
the wheels of love began to turn inside of me
You said
hello
I felt
the glow
Right
then and there I knew I'd never let you go
Cause I
know
Yeah I
know
====================================
"I tend to have great difficulty in seeing Harm lost
for words." Jackie Matoni said.
"Join the club." Carolyn laughed.
"Despite the number of girlfriend he went
through..." Every one groaned.
"... in those five years.
He finally realized that it was me."
"He has had some doozies." Carolyn informed
them.
"And if he wasn't chasing her was being
chased!" Harriett agreed.

Oh yes he HAD been busy even in fighting them off as in the
case of Alison Krennick, he even had to fight off the dry cleaners daughter. What
is it about the man?! Then there was
Dar-lin. My heart breaks for that child
still. Had he not got Charlie I swear
we'd be in another obsessive cycle.
Not that I have been leading the life of nun or none for that matter.
After all there has been men in my life both real and fantasy. In fact there were times the fantasy men
actually seemed better than the real ones.
Lets see there was...

====================================
The
touch of you
Is
something new
It's
heavenly
Ahh its
ecstasy
The way
you make me feel when you make love to me
Can't
you see
Can't
you see
====================================
Carolyn got real comfortable. "So Mac I asked you a couple of years ago how was the man in
bed and you dogged with a 'we are just friend' answer. That you cannot claim any more ...
GIVE!"
She snapped out of her daydream. "I should have known that the conversation would eventually
end up there." Mac blushed. How to answer diplomatically enough to
satisfy this group? "Does the word
energetic suffice?"
"Hardly!" Jackie grinned.
"Ma'am you are a lawyer. Chief of Staff at JAG no less
and you can't explain to us the Commander's expertise?" Harriett couldn't
resist.
"Ete tue? Harriett!" Mac said, "I plead the fifth."
"Awwwh!" they all groaned then burst out laughing.
"I'll say it again I'm glad to be around to see the two
of you FINALLY get with the program."
Carolyn said.
"Amen" they all chorused.
THE END.
