Trick Style is a racing game combining blistering speed and freestyle trickery. This guide will tell you of the hoverboards you can choose from and give a guide to the different characters you can pick from showing there strengths and weaknesses.
ROOKIE - this baby is the bog-standard board, balanced in every department and equally suitable for each rider.
VELOCITY - turbo board, won in Backstreets USA. Raises speed and thrust and skill. Best for Bullies and Stunters, as they benefit from the increased speed and have the strength and skill to make up for losses in those areas.
RIPSLIDE - stunt board, won in Skydrome. Raises skil and thrust. Ideal for all riders to use in the challenges that require a high standard of trickery and control.
BOOMSTAR - combat board, won in UK Stuntbowl. Raises strength and decreases thrust. Most useful to Racers and Stunters as it doesn't affect their basic speed/skill yet it increases their strength.
Racers are speedy devils who, when left to their own devices, could easily out run the opposition. However, true to Trick Style, their pace advantage is countered by a lack of strength that enables opposing riders, especially the Bullies, to knock them around like feeble insects. The best solution is just to get to the head of the pack - and stay there. If you're up to it.
It is tempting to equipe the racers with the Velocity board to capitolise on their speed even further, buta more sensible course of action is to use the Boomstar board. This way you can become hard as nails while still retaining your speed advantage.
Stunters are the trick meisters best used on the Ripslide board during challenges and UK Stuntbowl. There outrageous freestyle antics aren't absolutely necessary in the races unless you're aiming for a virtuoso performance, but slap them on the Velocity board and they'll have the speed to go with their skill.
Bullies are the bad boyz of the game, who can bang into the other riders and laugh as they fall on their arses. However, the bulky physiques of these toughies reduces their speed and skill.
a way to counteract this is by giving them the Velocity board and with that they'll have the pace to match their muscles - and their opponents. Alternately givethem the ultra-tough Boomstar board and they'll slowright down but will make them favourites in a good scrp.
Go into the Uk area and there will be a hill right before a wall blocking you from the area where Japan is. In order to do this trick, you must hit the hill fast and jump from it then do a spin. If done correctly you will end up jumping over the wall and into the Japan area. If you have not unlocked Japan you will be stuck in this area because none of the doors have opened.
In UK races 1 and 2, you will see a clock that is really big. On race one, towards the end of the course, go up the ramp and do a boogie drill or hammer drill to break the glass and save some time. In race two in the beginning, go on the right side and get the speed boost, then break the glass by using boogie drill or hammer drill to cut off a sharp turn.
