You begin in Station Square. Follow the road to the left and you'll see Froggy hop under the parked car and into the sewer. Lift the car using B and drop down the manhole. Walk round to the right until you reach a box then jump onto it and over to the elevator which takes you to Twinkle Park. Enter the Park to begin the first stage.

STAGE 1-Twinkle Park

Start off by hitting the monkey with your rod so it cant disturb you while your fishing, then stand at the side of the pool and cast off. It's up to you whether you want to get your eye in by catching some fish or g straight after the frog. Either way, once you catch Froggy the stage will end.

ITEMS-Lure and Lifebelt

Leave Twinkle Park and go behind the building and then into the sewer to collect a special Lure upgrade. As you leave, pick up the ice stone on your left and head for Mystic Ruin. go up through the cave and place the stone on the pedestal to open the icecap. Follow the path to the body of water and pick up the Lifebelt. Cross the water and then use the ladder to get to the next stage.

STAGE 2-Icecap

Pick up the rock and chuck it into the ice to breakit open and reveal a pool. Drop into the water and walk through the tunnel into a bigger pool area. "Hurry up" music will play as you are about to drown so quickly head up for the gap at the top rightand you'll springboard up to a higher platform. Use the rock to shatter the ice and sink down past the dinosaur skeleton to find another Lure upgrade.

Go back to the first ice pool and Froggy will be swiming there. Needless to say, catch the green swine to finish the level.

ITEMS-Power Rod and Fishing Lure

Leave the icecap and go back to Mystic Ruin. You will encounter Tails who is holding Froggy and, after you make a lunge for the amphibian, he will hop away again. Before pursuing him take a detour to the forest area to collect a couple of special items.

get off the minecart and drop into the forest. Follow the river upstream to Big's shack and lift up his bed to discover the Power Rod which increases your casting range. The lure is a bit trickier to find. Follow th branch of the stream furthest left and you need to take the second path you see on the right (an explorer will be standing there). From here, take the second path on your left and you should see a gap in the trees. from here go down the hidden passage to find the Fishing Lure.

Now, head back to Mystic Ruin and take the train to Station Square where you will see froggy hopping into the hotel. Follow him to the beach for the next stage.

STAGE 3-Emerald Coast

This stage is, without doubt, the worst. It begins easy enough as you kill the monkeys and cast off near the stone support (on the right as you enter the level) but it's with your line in the sea that your problems start.

Froggy swims around in a circle and unless you get the line perfectly inside his turning curve he will ignore it. This isnt too difficult once you gat a feel for the casting distance but, wait, there's more. When you do attract his interest you have to keep the line floating in clear water; if you snag it on the sea bed or on the island foundations, Froggy will come to a complete halt and just stare at the lure in a hypnotic trance. When you do manage to cast the line in his turning curve and keep it snag-free the frog will probably come and investigate. However, even with all the Lure upgrades and the Power Rod, there is no guarantee the bugger will bite.

It could take ages to catch him. My advice is if you don't catch him within 30 mins then give up, it's not worth the hassle. If you insist on catching him the only help I can give you is to keep the line as close to the surface as possible, then it's down to luck!

ITEM-Fishing Lure

If you ever catch Froggy, E-102 will immediately come and take him. After a cut scene you'll be on the Egg Carrier. Head over to the three doors and take the one on the right. Go through to the prison area and in the first cell you will see the final Lure power-up. Jump on the button to open the caell door and collect it.

Now, go back to the three doors andtake the middle one to enter the final stage.

STAGE 4-Hot Shelter

Go through the doors, along the path and over the water to reach the drainage room. Big will spot Froggy and you can use the red button to drain all the water and bring the amphibian into the room. All you have to do now is catch him.

This stage is not as infuriating as the last because your not as limited in the area you can cast off in. However, it can still mean a long wait before you are successful.

After finally grabbing Froggy, Big is whisked off to he Floating Island. Just walk up to the Master Emerald to watch the cut-scene, after which, the baffled cat will be returned to the Egg Carrier.

Step on the floor pad next to where Tikal's spirit is hovering and you will summon the Egg Monorail. Get inside the front carriage and then you'll be taken up to the deck for a showdown with Chaos.

BOSS-Chaos 6

Make your way to the circular green area and Chaos will force the Emerald out of Froggy's stomach and use it to becomr Chaos 6. The aquatic monster will then swallow the frog and reclaim his tail. With Froggy trapped in the monster's stomach it's up to you to get him back once and for all. This is very easy; just cast your line at the target in Chaos' stomach and the frog will be pulled safe-and-sound into your arms.

With Froggy back to normal and without the urge to un off, you can go over to Tails' plane and fly back to the forest. Then strangle the green freak for all the trouble he caused you!
