:Past:

The farthest back that he has memories of his family was 3 years old... All good. He remembers having a birthday party for every birthday. His mum would always take him to wonderful places all over Australia. She was always by his side. She was a loving young mum. Who grew up with him.

When Daniel was 5 years old, he wanted to play soccer. Like always, he got his wish. He was a great soccer player. Every game he scored a goal. He would yell out to his mum, that one was for you mum. On Mothers day, he said to his mum, Im going to get a hat trick for you today mum because I cant buy you a present because I have no money. And sure enough, he got 3 goals for his mother on Mothers Day. God that little boy just loved his mother so much.

When Daniel was 9 years old, he wanted to change his sports to Rugby League. Like always, he got his wish. He did fantastic with this sport. Getting tries every week, and still that little boy was dedicating his tries to his mum. The team made it to the Grand Finals. They played with all there heart and strength to win that day. They lost by 1 point. It was so sad to watch those little boys tears at the end of that game. When presentation day came, he cleaned up, taking home 3 trophy's. His mum was so proud of him.

When Daniel was 10 years old, something happened to the spirit of that little boy Daniel. He lived for his sports but he just didn't seem to try. You could see it in his eyes, he didn't have that team spirit any more. He had withdrawn from everything in his life. His school work suffered, he started to get into trouble all the time. His Mother just didn't know what to do for him.

You see, Daniels friend Jason was still playing soccer. And Jason's soccer coach (Ian Rushton)-(A Painter) from NSW Australia wanted to take the kids to an adult soccer match. Well Daniels mum didn't know this Ian Rushton, so Daniels mum checked with Jason's mum to find out more about this man. Jason's mum said she had know the man for some time and he is very trust worthy with the children. He was always taking her kids out every weekend and never once did her kids say to her anything bad had happened. He also was a Rep Soccer Coach. A trusting position. Daniels mum decided this man was safe so she let Daniel go.

Not knowing that her decision to let Daniel go would change their lives forever. What happened next turned Daniel and his family upside-down for 8 long hard years.

This is the most difficult part of this web site for Daniel ... but he understand now that the time has come for him 'to open up'!! ... He now understand, after too many years of silence ... that unless he can tell the world, truthfully, about this part of his childhood ... He will never truly heal.

You know what kids are like, always fighting to sit in the front seat of the car. Jason got front seat going to the match and Daniel got front seat coming home. They went to that soccer match. Daniel and his friend Jason had a great time. On the way home, Jason went to sleep in the back seat of the car. Daniel was in the front seat. Ian Rushton molested Daniel that night on the way home. Not sure if Jason was drugged that night or not but he did not wake up.

Daniel was scared to tell his mum when he got home. He was given money and was told not to tell his mum. Daniel didn't sleep a wink that night. The next morning he was outside playing with a friend and Daniel shared that secret with another friend. Daniels friends advice was to go tell your mum. Daniel did just that.

Daniels mum got straight on the phone to Jason's mum. They talked about what happened. Jason's mum said she would sit her kids down that night and ask if any thing had happened to them. Sure enough, it had been happening to her children too. But they didn't have the courage to tell. When Daniels mum went to the soccer club with this, after a talk with all the parents. It had been happening to half the soccer team. These poor children all suffered in silence. Thanks to the bravery of Daniel speaking out, these children didn't have to suffer any more. The Police laid plenty of charges but Ian Rushton - the soccer coach and painter took off out of the state. In the mean time Daniels mum could not go to the soccer federation in all the states of Australia with her story because Ian Rushton had not been proven guilty of these crimes in the eyes of the courts yet. Daniels mum could of been charged herself for Discrimination. So all she knew, IAN RUSHTON THE CHILD MOLESTER could of been in another state doing it to more children. Daniels mum felt so helpless.

It would be 2 years before the Police would find this man again and bring him to justice. And the Judge gives him a lousy 3 months in JAIL. Nearly all a soccer teams family lives ruined by 1 man and the JUDGE gives him 3 months jail.He also had previous charges of the same nature. Where is the Justice.

When Daniel was 16 years old, his mother found out he was using heroin. She reported him to the police. It broke her heart to do that but she was left with no choices. He was steeling to pay for his habit. She gave him life. She did not want to see her beautiful little boy dead. He faced court and the Judge gave him 6 months in a boys home. Daniels mother was there to visit him every weekend. Rain, hail or shine. She supported him all the way. Daniel found it hard to except that the Judge gave him 6 months for steeling for a drug addition which was caused by a man who molested him and gave IAN RUSHTON THE CHILD MOLESTER only 3 months for molesting most of the boys in a soccer team.

When Daniel was 17 he came home. Things seem to go good for a while. Daniel got himself a beautiful girlfriend. After being together for a year, she accidentally fell pregnant. She was way too young and she decided to have a termination. That broke Daniels heart because he wanted that baby so much and he wanted to get married. They started to fight all the time and she ended up leaving him 3 days before Christmas. He started back on the drugs. This time it was a drug called speed. The steeling started again to pay for his habit. His mental state was that far gone, Daniels mum thought she was going to loose that little boy of hers. She had fought hard for him since he was molested. She tried everything. She even paid $120 per hour session for 10 sessions with a psychologist, just to find out the therapist cant help him. The psychologist said he has to help himself. He will not open up to me. He would not let anyone inside.

When Daniel was 18 and using the drug speed. He lost his mind. He had a gun and a his mother found the suicide note in his room. His mother rang the police and told them what she knew. They picked him up in town. He was charged with firearm offences and remanded in custody until later that day when he appeared in court. The Judge kept him in jail because he thought he would be a danger to himself and firearm offences in Australia is a serious crime. He was put in Cessnock jail, in the hospital section. He was in a straight jacket, a padded cell with 24 hour cameras on him. From the time Daniel got there, he was put straight on medication to bring him down slowly from the drugs he had been taking. His mother visited the very next day. It broke his mothers heart to see her little boy in jail and treated like he was some sort of an animal. He begged his mother to get him out of there.

After 10 days there, Daniel had to appear before the Judge again. It was a hard decision for the Judge to make about Daniels life. But he decided to watch Daniels behaviour for a while. Daniel had swore on his Mothers dieing oath, he would never touch drugs again. Daniels mother told this to the Judge. He let Daniel go home on $2000 cash bail and to re-appear before him in a months time. This went on for 6 months. Then it was all finalized. The Judge was happy with the outcome and so was his mother.

Now Daniel is nearly 21, he kept his word to his mother when he said Mum, I swear on your dieing oath. I will never touch drugs again. You see, Daniel loves his mother more than anything else in this world. He has realized just how much his mother was hurting too. Because his mother blamed herself for letting him go with that soccer coach. If only she said no, you can't go. Daniel's life would of been so much different.
