"What the Bleep Do We Know!?" Reflection
Three key ideas from this movie summarized and explained:

The first major idea from "What the Bleep do we Know!?" that sticks out to me is, that in order to find realtiy, we must look carefully at the world around us, and examine it always. It appeared that most people Amanda saw seemd to be "phonies" like in "the Catcher in the Rye," and they put on masks to hide their original corrupt self. However, there were some people out there willing to help her, like the kid on the basketball court. He seemed to be the first one to suggest to her that reality is not always what it seems to be, but offered to show her the way down into the "rabbit hole." He was willing to show her how to tell reality from surreal, and it it people like this that we need to guide us through our own life.
As seen through Amanda, we are what we make of ourselves, and we are how we see ourselves. As shown from the animations, our view of ourselves can perhaps actually change our physical appearance. Today's society has skewed reality in the sense that we have to be perfect and attractive physically in order to be accepted by others. It really takes someone like the basketball kid, or the man Amanda met at the wedding to help us look inside ourselves and find what is truly important.
Finally, I think that the movie stressed that everyone has some sort of calling in life. no matter who you are, what physical or mental abilities one has or does not have, there is something for everyone. Even though Amanda was deaf, that didn't matter to her. She made the best of life, and she achieved her carreer in photography, which was something that she truly enjoyed doing. Also, I think that it showed that there was some
one out there for everyone. Physical disabilities set aside. Amanda was "different" but she still found the man at the wedding, and it seemed tha instantly they had some sort of attraction to each other. Overall, I think that the movie was telling us to never lose hope, because God, although we have no idea how to picture Him, has us worked into His plan somewhere.
