1) Ensure your browser is set to re-size pictures to fit the screen.  Select Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Multimedia > Enable Automatic Image Resizing (tick)

2) Press F11 to hide some icons.  This will give you a full screen

3) Click the thumbnail image you want (left) to get the full size version

4) Press F11 to get your icons back when you've finished
