This Boys Life
This Boy's Life is about the memior of Tobias Wolff.The story starts off with his mother on a road trip.On this road trip the mother is getting away from a abusive boyfriend , which proceeded her divorce.In the first chapter he calls himself as "Jack", a confirmation name which was a derivative of Jonathan.
He gets into alot of trouble at school because of the peer pressure of his two other friends, Which causes him to get into trouble. He gets into trouble at school and that si when he causes his mother to question the trust she has in her son. I believe it leaves her no choice and to try to have a fatherly figure in his life.
Later on his mother meets a man named Dwight who has an idea to keep Jack in shape. He asks Jack mother to take him in, so that she could get herself together. Jack approves on this proposal and goes to Dwights House. On the road Jack gets a taste of how his life was going to be. He knew Dwight knew him from the inside and out. He knew that Dwight knew that he was a liar. From that day on, Dwight treated him like nothing. Like he was lower than dirt.
His love for expedition starts when he has a job on the paper route. Every day he would travel farther and farther towards his freedom.
