Today is the day we found out we are pregnant with our first child!

Our first ultrasound with the RE! We saw a tiny flickering heartbeat! See the ultrasound images here.
3/20/08
The doctor wants to see us again for another ultrasound to check our progress and get more accurate measurements of the baby.
Everything looks great!! We saw a strong heartbeat and the baby has grown so much already!

4/2/08
Our last visit with the RE today. We are now officially released back to the OB/GYN for further prenatal care and ultimately delivery. The ultrasound today was amazing! We saw the baby moving around and its arms and legs, and of course the beautiful heartbeat! Our measurements are right on with our dates, so the baby is growing perfectly. Our last visit with the RE today. We are now officially released back to the OB/GYN for further prenatal care and ultimately delivery. The ultrasound today was amazing! Today I found the baby's heartbeat for the first time with my home doppler!! I've been trying for a couple of weeks, not expecting to hear anything this early, but there it was thumping away like a little freight train. It was registering between 168 and 170bpm, perfect for 10 weeks!

My first visit with my OB/GYN practice, I saw one of the midwives and had a great appointment. She answered all my questions, spent lots of time talking with me, and we listened to the baby's heartbeat with the doppler. My next appointment is a check-up in about a month.

Everything looks great. My bloodwork results came back and I'm healthy as a horse. We heard the heartbeat again, it's now around 150bpm, which is normal and healthy. We'll be finding out the sex in about 3 weeks!
6/3/08 My birthday (The BIG 3-0!!) 17w4d IT'S A GIRL!
Today was the anatomy scan to measure the baby and make sure everything looks normal. The ultrasound tech was very nice and took her time explaining everything we were looking at. She measured the arm bone, leg bone, and head. Everything measured up great. Then we looked at the brain, liver, kidneys, heart, bladder, diaphragm, and stomach. All normal. It was so amazing to see the baby moving around, the tech even counted all the fingers and toes! And the best part...we are having a GIRL! She showed us 3 different times that she is all girl, we even got to take home a DVD of part of the ultrasound. This has to be the best birthday ever!

Everything is looking good. My weight gain is right on track and blood pressure is normal. Not much else to report, we're right on track.
