Are you prepared to stand before God ?
Are You Prepared to Stand Before
a Holy God ?
Rom 14:10b-12 (TLB) . Remember, each of
us will stand personally before the Judgment Seat of God. {11} For it is
written, "As I live," says the Lord, "every knee shall bow to me and every
tongue confess to God." {12} Yes, each of us will give an account of himself
to God.
Are You Prepared for the Judgement of
your Sin ?
Rom 2:16 (TLB) The day will surely come
when at God's command Jesus Christ will judge the secret lives of everyone,
their inmost thoughts and motives; this is all part of God's great plan,
which I proclaim.
Isa 59:1-3 (TLB) Listen now! The Lord isn't
too weak to save you. And he isn't getting deaf! He can hear you when you
call! {2} But the trouble is that your sins have cut you off from God.
Because of sin he has turned his face away from you and will not listen
anymore. {3} For your hands are those of murderers and your fingers are
filthy with sin. You lie and grumble and oppose the good.
Isa 59:9-10 (TLB) It is because of all
this evil that you aren't finding God's blessings; that's why he doesn't
punish those who injure you. No wonder you are in darkness when you expected
light. No wonder you are walking in the gloom. {10} No wonder you grope
like blind men and stumble along in broad daylight, yes, even at brightest
noontime, as though it were the darkest night! No wonder you are like corpses
when compared with vigorous young men!
Isa 59:11-13 (TLB) You roar like hungry
bears; you moan with mournful cries like doves. You look for God to keep
you, but he doesn't. He has turned away. {12} For your sins keep piling
up before the righteous God and testify against you. Yes, we know what
sinners we are. {13} We know our disobedience; we have denied the Lord
our God. We know what rebels we are and how unfair we are, for we carefully
plan our lies.
Are You Prepared to Acknowledge Your
Sinfulness ?
Isa 64:6-7 (TLB) We are all infected and
impure with sin. When we put on our prized robes of righteousness, we find
they are but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves we fade, wither and fall.
And our sins, like the wind, sweep us away. {7} Yet no one calls upon Your
Name, O Lord, or pleads with you for mercy. Therefore, you have turned
away from us and turned us over to our sins.
Are you Prepared for the Turning Point
?
Acts 3:19 (TLB) Now change your mind and
attitude to God, and turn to Him, so he can cleanse away your sins and
send you wonderful times of refreshment from the presence of the Lord.
Are you Prepared to Throw Yourself on
the mercy of the Lord, and accept his Forgiveness ?
Psa 25:16-18 (KJV) Turn thee unto me,O
Lord, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted. {17} The
troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
{18} Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
Heb 11:6 (TLB) You can never please God
without faith, without depending on him. Anyone who wants to come to God
must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely
look for him.
Are You Prepared to Confess your Sins
to God ?
1 John 1:8-10 (TLB) If we say that we
have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth.
{9} But if we confess our sins to him, he can be depended on to forgive
us and to cleanse us from every wrong. (And it is perfectly proper for
God to do this for us because Christ died to wash away our sins.) {10}
If we claim we have not sinned, we are lying and calling God a liar, for
he says we have sinned.
Are You Prepared to Invite Christ into
your Life ?
Rev 3:19-21 (TLB) Jesus says, I continually
discipline and punish everyone I love; so I must punish you unless you
turn from your indifference and become enthusiastic about the things of
God.
{20} "Look! I have been standing at the
door, and I am constantly knocking. If anyone hears me calling him and
opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with him and he with me.
{21} I will let everyone who conquers sit
beside me on my throne, just as I took my place with my Father on his throne
when I had conquered.
Are You Prepared to Choose Life Instead
of Death ?
Deu 30:19-20a (TLB) "I call heaven and
earth to witness against you that today I have set before you life or death,
blessing or curse. Oh, that you would choose life; that you and your children
might live! {20} Choose to love the Lord your God and to obey him and to
cling to him, for he is your life and the length of your days.
Are You Prepared to Follow Christ in
a New Way of Life ?
John 14:6 (TLB) Jesus told him, "I am
the Way--yes, and the Truth and the Life. No one can get to the Father
except by means of me.
John 8:31-32 (TLB) Jesus said to them,
"You are truly my disciples if you live as I tell you to, {32} and you
will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
Are You Prepared for Christ's Unconditional
Invitation ?
Mat 11:28-29 (KJV) Jesus Says: Come unto
me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. {29}
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
