Strolling through a forest at night
Unable to see the stars or moon
Beyond the opaque canopy
I dont feel anything
Leaves long void of life
Crumble and shatter beneath my feet
Large shards piercing into my toes
I dont feel it.
As the wind spreads its' gossip
Through the branches overhead
Heart beats rapidly sheds their own secrets
Forcing the blood from my bleeding feet to flow steadily
Soaking into the forest ground
Being absorbed by roots unseen
I dont hear it
As my feet increase their stride,
Stems and protruding branches
Scratch at my arms, my knees, my face
Increasing the loss of blood from my veins
They knock me to the leaf littered ground
Soon, Im up again, in an instant,
Unable to stop, through the dark
Through the brush, and into an open field
I dont see it
Honeysuckle, rosemary musk fill my nose
Wild flower pollen hangs heavy with evening dew
Hystimine building up, but not releasing
I dont smell it
I fall for what seems to be the last time
My face hits the ground
Shattering my jaw and nose
Life drains
I never tasted it
