And You Will Never Know
March 31, 1997
Time spent together
tears me apart knowing
That you will never
care for me as I do for you
I follow your every word
down the echoing corridor
in hope of finding one
vibration that will want to
stay with me
Apprehension that we will never
be more than friends
incites into my rapidly beating heart
Foreshadowing from my exhausted eyes
tears that have already flowed
I can not tell you what I feel else
risk losing friendship
which would be worse than any break up
Worse than any
heartache I’ve known
So I wander by your side
fascade of a cold and careless soul
Taking in every breath you exhale
when you’re not looking
Sitting in your chair just to feel your
warmth against me
Wearing your clothes so that I
may feel you feel me in a way that
only lovers know
When I say "it was fun"
While I wait for you to call
the sun will shine inside
my heart continues to break
I will keep living every hour for you
And you will never know
Thank God
