Favourite Bible Verses

Here is a short collection of my favourite Bible verses. They illustrate God's power, they show how much he cares for each of us individually, and they give a guideline for our lives. Christ is THE answer to life, and only He can bring us holy and righteous to God. Trust Him... the Truth.



"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices in the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." (1Corinthians 13:4-7)

"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him." (John 3:36)

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1)

"... for the Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever." (Chronicles 28:9b)

Proud speaks mainly of itself; humble speaks of others. Proud runs to the front of the line; humble lets others go first. Proud shouts to let opinions be known; humble listens to others opinions first. Proud rejects others as unimportant; humble accepts others as worthwhile. Proud knows it all; humble is teachable. Proud cheers when others fall; humble picks up those who have fallen.
