A Cruise On "Porch Pass" |
This web page is dedicated to our trips with our very good friends, Pete, Rhonda, Kristin and Kelley . Their boat is a 44ft Pacifica that already has been worked on extensively and I'm sure will continue to be improved on an ongoing basis. We can't explain the fun it is to cruise on a private boat and moor in a harbor with several other friends with their boats. Sometimes we hop into (well slowly slip into) the skiff and visit the others in their boats. We even attended a progressive party on several boats one weekend in Avalon Harbor in Catalina. Below are several photos of our trips. We currently have a few photos of our trip at Avalon and Isthmus Bay. |

This yacht was named the Ronin, had some kind of oriental symbol under the name. It also had a US and Brittish flag displayed. I don't have any idea who owns this boat but whoever does has a ton of money!! |
We hope you enjoyed our photos of our trips to Catalina Island. Catalina is really a special place to visit because you get to experience what life may have been like many years ago in California or other smaller cities. At times while visiting the Isthmus, we felt as though we could have been thousand miles from home! Emerald Bay earns its name with the deep crystal clear green waters. I even got to visit the Boy Scout camp I used to go to for my summer camp back in my scouting days. It sure brought back a lot of memories. But why do places always seem smaller when you it as an adult? Our summer at Catalina Island on Porch Pass was absolutly a wonderful experience. There is really so much to do on the island at the various bays, trails, etc. |
