In LaToya's spare time she writes a little poetry.  It is suspected that because of her elegant style of writing she is able to tell one how her heart feels.  The flow and grace of her poetry is one of the reasons why she has grown as an artist / lyricist.  Awaken and read.

Fiesta Dream Come True (c)

The samba drums beat beautiful rhythms

that flow through the air.

When the wind blows through the trees,

the limbs and leaves sound like the

ocean rushing up to the beach.

Seeing everyone getting along,

singing and dancing to one song.

Smelling the spices from the food,

seeing the stars flying across the moon.

This is a fiesta dream come true.

(Me o fascino la fiesta desde el comiengo

nunca se terminara, porque siempre

estara en mi corazon.)

(I loved it from the start

It will never end because it's always in my heart.)

The nation underneath the sun

has been burning for so long.

It has been stamping it's feet

to many songs.

It has been beating it's drums

from a far away land.

Its people have walked

across the sea to another land.

Now they got me singing this song.

It has been beating within me for so long.
