Later Trunks comes back to help fight the anderoids. By training the Hiperbolic Time Chamber (and may i add his hair grows out making him look so hot) at Mr. Popo's place, he got stronger to fight the anderoids and Cell. But while being in the Time Chamber he did a foolish thing. He went to a new level of Super Saiyan which made him stronger but also slower (which Cell eventually pointed out to him). He told Cell of how he would destroy him no matter what by after telling him of his horrible future and of how the anderoids destroyed everything. Trunks swore he wouldn't let that happen to this time. After finding out that Cell was just too fast and strong for him, Trunks gave up. Cell took pitty on him telling him that if he or any of the other Z fighters could get stronger with in 10 days, he would make a tournament and to watch for it on the news. At Master Roshi's place, they found it was to be called the Cell Games and would start in 10 days and its location. Trunks didn't get a chance to even compete in it before being killed by the more powerful Cell. He was then brought back by the Dragonballs. After finding out that Gohan killed Cell, Trunks went back to the future to battle the Anderoids there and to kill the future Cell. He went back and did kill them with much ease.
While in the past world, the 8 year old Trunks made best friends with Goten and both competed in the World Martial Arts Tournament. Trunks was the victor, but feeling a little bad that he kinda tricked Goten out his victory, he promised to give Goten three of his toys, Goten's choice. During Trunks' battle with Mr. Satan after winning the world junior division he knocked Mr. Satan out of the arena with one punch! He and Goten later decided to fight in the adult tournament rules or no, so they stole the outfit of a contestant with the name of Mighty Mask and joined the fight (Trunks ontop of Goten in a ridiculous outfit). They stayed in the tournament when most of the Z fighters went to help out Supreme Ki. That's when Mr. Satan suggested that they have a fighting royale. That's when Mighty Mask (Trunks and Goten) were up against #18. After a difficult battle, she finally realized that it was two super sayians she was up against after they both transformed. She threw an energy ball at them and and split their outfit in half. When they both started fighting her, the announcer disqualified them. After leaving the tournament they met up with Videl who told them about Bobiti and Buu so they flew off to help. During their stay outside of Bobiti's ship (which was later blown up by Vegeta, they helped him (Vegeta) out by kicking Buu a few miles away and helping untagle Vegeta out of his mess. After Vegeta got up, he stood with his back to Trunks for a while until the two boys said they'd help him fight Buu. Vegeta then turned and said "Trunks, you're my only son, and yet i haven't held you ever since you where a baby." That's when he embraced Trunks for a few moments. Trunks knew what his father meant but kept objecting saying that he was embarassing him in front of everyone there. Vegeta then told Trunks to take good care of his mother and hit him upside the neck. Trunks came out ofhis transformation and lay unconcious on the ground. Goten ran up to Vegeta and kept tugging on his pants asking him why did that and that fathers aren't suppose to do that to their children. Vegeta punched Goten in the stomach who too went unconcious and told Piccolo to take the two boys as far from there as possible. Piccolo obeyed and flew off with Trunks and Goten under his arms, with Krillin following in rear. |
