Nine Months
For nine months I cradled you within
and wondered.
Nine months before I could hold my heart
in my arms.
Nine months for you to arrive but I had known you
forever.
Nine months crept along yet raced by
while I waited.
After nine months you were here and my life
started anew.
The world has changed immeasurably and it only took
nine months.

His Birth Story

Jason and I are very happy to report that our son is growing beautifully.  He is talking up a storm and starting to spit out what he has kept from us all this time.   He recognizes many shapes, letters, numbers and colors.  He has amazed us with his awareness of different concepts like hot, cold, clean as in I need a diaper change now! He is finally into books and enjoys studying the concepts in them.   Currently, his favorites books are the collection of board books by Rebecca Emberly, Dr. Seuss' and anything by Sandra Boynton.  He is intensely into Disney's Tarzan, Lilo and Stitch and so many others to name here.  Nicolas is a source of constant joy and pride not only to us but also to his Pediatrician and his Godparents Sonia and Ramon.  For his birthday, he received from his Godparents Sonia and Ramon  a gorgeous style #45 Radio Flyer tricycle.  From us, he has been receiving throughout the entire month of May plenty of Thomas the Engine train tracks and accessories.  He has also received the blessings of his Grandmother in Venezuela and the love of his GrandD in Texas.
