Marius the Mad Mage grinned. Hovering above the ground in his deep blue
robes, Marius leveled his hands toward the black dragon. Wisps of fire
danced about his fingertips. He cackled as the spell surged forth from
his body and...darkness...as our hero Mad Marius is ripped away from his
home and hurled through time and space...
"What happened? Damn, back on this earth plane again. What? Oh, you
want to know about my alter-ego Colin. You could have chosen a more
appropriate time, but since I'm here..let's see.
Colin also goes by the name Devier, and the three of us make up the
person known as Jon Keeyes...you following this? Here, let's try this.
Jon Keeyes was born in California to a good...too far back? okay.
Jon Keeyes is 27 and currently houses his body in Texas where he runs a
metaphysical bookstore and giftshop called Bell, Book and Candle. He
has been married for six years to Natalia (she's the one I was fighting
the dragon with, but that's another story).
Devier was Jon's first understanding of things metaphysical as he had
varied flashes of being a warrior questing for his kidnapped love Kimber
(that's also Natalia). Devier makes up Jon's interests in sword and
sorcery, dungeons and dragons, and all forms of fantasy.
Marius (that's me) is Jon's next ego, that comprises his life-long study
in witchcraft, shamanism, magic and all things pagan. I, Marius,
currently operate B.B.C.'s alter-ego shop, The Laughing Mage, in
Waterdeep.
Colin is Jon's third ego, which is his deep connection to his Scottish
heritage. He traces his lineage through nine named clans and sixteen
septs. Currently, he and his wife Teara, are in the pagan Clan FaolCu
and he has finished the first draft of his book "The Scottish Pagan:
Customs, Traditions and Beliefs from Scotland". He also lectures on
Celtic spirituality and has published numerous articles.
Jon, being a native Californian, also enjoys passionate sex on the beach
beneath a full moon, rummaging through musty, backwoods antique stores,
and climbing trees.
Well folks, that's all for now. I'm going back to Waterdeep to see if
that blasted dragon is still hanging around.
...as our hero departs, he waves, bringing a tear to everyone's eyes.
