I
looked far and wide to find this particular photo of William Shatner. Why
is it so special to me? Because the thing I dearly love about William
Shatner and the character he played, was that he had just enough arrogance
and surety about himself to be exciting. The picture to the left, captures
that hint of arrogance and steadfastness that still makes me "oooh" and
"ahhh" -- although I am over 40 years old now. That cute half-smile. That
look that makes you wonder what he's up to. The look of "I know what
I'm doing but you don't." Wow! What a rush!!
While many web sites I visited concentrated more on "Captain James T.
Kirk," I have purposely dedicated my web site to the REAL man: William
Shatner. Captain Kirk was just a job he had for 5 years. So spend a moment

William Shatner studied commerce at McGill University in Montreal,
Canada and later switched to acting. While at McGill he was in many
student productions, and went on to perform with the Stratford (Ontario,
Canada) Shakespeare Festivals, playing a number of Shakespearean roles.
The 'Shatner Building' at McGill is named after him.
In 1956, William moved to New York City, and worked in live TV dramas
and on Broadway, where he attracted the attention of TV producers. His
first TV appearance was in the Goodyear Television Playhouse, episode -
'All Summer Long' on October 28, 1956. His onscreen debut was in,
The Brothers Karamazov, in 1958, as 'Alexi Karamazov'. The first TV series
he starred in was, For the People (January 31, 1965 - May 9, 1965),
as 'David Koster'.
