Our Story begins when the half Demon inuyasha tries to steal the shikon no tama from the pristess kikyo.  he manges to snatch the jewel from it's temple. as he makes his escape kikyo fires an arrow. her sacerd arrow bounded him to a tree. inuyasha died by the hands of kikyo. kikyo was fataly wouned. before she died she insructed her yonger sister kaede to burn the shikon no tama with her body. kikyo died and her body burned. 500 hunderd years later kagome higurashi is helping her grandfather unpack repilcas of the shikon no tama.  as he tries to tell her the story she reminds him that it's her 15th birthday the next day. he gives her the mummifed hand of an water nymp. kagome feeds it to buyo, her cat. kagome lives at her family shrine with a thousand year old sacerd tree and a secert well. kagome always consider herself a normal girl. until the day of her 15th birthday. kagome was on her way to school when she saw her little brother souta playing near the well. she asked him what he was doing. souta said that he was looking for buyo. kagome teased her little brother for being scaerd . her little brother got mad and said why doesn't kagome look for him. so kagome goes down to the well. she hears a scracthing nosie from inside the well. she heard a thump and jumped. buyo  came up and rubbed against kagome. kagome bends down and picks up buyo. souta then begins to make fun of his sister because she jumped when buyo came out. kagome gets mad.  a bright light shines through the cracks. the top of the well blows off and white arms grab kagome. kagome drops buyo and gets pulled into the well. kagome falls down and mistress centiped has her in her grasp. mistress centiped demands that kagome hand over the shikon jewel. kagome having no idea what she's talking about pushes mistress centiped away. a wierd pale pink light shines from kagome's hand the light causes mistress centiped to lose her arm. kagome lands at the bottom of the well. she thinks that she had fallen in the well and that maybe what happend to her was just a dream. she looks over to the side of the well and sees  mistress centipeds arm lying on the ground. kagome calls for her family but gets no repsones.  kagome starts to climb out of the well. a pretty white butterfly fulters around her face. kagome climbs to the top of the well and sees a forest. kagome climbs out of the well. she hears the birds and is confused by all that is around her. kagome spots the sacerd tree. she runs to it thinking that she is almost home. she comes out into the clearing and sees inuyasha pinned to the tree. she walks up to him and climbs up the roots. she calls to him and thinks he's still alive. kagome walks up the roots and admires his dog ears. she rubs them to see if they are real. after kagome rubs them arrows come flying at her. the villagers tie her up and think she is a fox demon or some kind of demon. the ageing kaede comes over and uses some kind of salt to try and banish a "demon". kagome tells her that she isn't a demon. kaede notices something familer about her, but can't quiet place it.  kaede feeds kagome and ask her where she's from. kagome tells her she is from tokyo. they hear a commotion outside and see mistress centiped attacking the village. she throws a horse  down and demands the shikon jewel. kaede is confused by this, the shikon jewel was lost 50 years ago when kikyo died. kagome knows the demon is after her so she asked kaede what should she do. kaede  tells her that the demon needs to go back to the well. kagome asks if it is where the light is. kaede is shocked for no one can see the light. kagome leads the demon away and calls out for help.  inuyasha is brought back to life when he hears kagomes call. kagome is thrown in front of the tree by  mistress centiped. inuyasha tuants her and thinks she's kikyo. mistress centiped  tries to pull her away. kagome grabs inuyasha hair. kagome then uses the strange pink light like she did in the well. kaede and the other villagers are amazed. mistress centiped throws kagome into the air and the shikon no tama brust from her body. inuaysha sees the jewel. kagome is thrown against the tree by the centiped.  she starts to crush kagome. mistress centiped shallows the jewel and turns into a hideous monster. inuyasha says if kagome releases him then he can save her. kagome breaks the spell and inuyasha is freed. inuyasha detroys mistress centiped with one blow. kaede told kagome to find the glowing flesh before it regenerated. mistress centipeds flesh melted into bone. inuyasha comes up to kagome and threatens her to get the shikon jewel. kagome relizes he is not the hero.
