Before
After
We had to come up with an idea of hiding the Radon Mitigation System
So we built a 'chaseway' with hidden access panel and routed the pipe through the roof.
Half rotted 25 year old pale yellow T-111 siding with no window accents.
The siding was the same age as the house.  The doors were dark green.  One verdigris light fixture to the left of the door.  no balance at all.
We chose 'Frontier Blend' siding.  The front of the home is actually sided with solid panal soffit to create the diagonal pattern.  The doors are now a Mulberry Wine.  We went with an antique brass finish for fixtures with brass door accessories.
Notice how the T-111 was '3 sheets high'.  It was ugly as sin and not pleasing at all to the eye.  There were 3 different color window frames.   But we knew it had potential!!  Notice the screen porch.  It was a cold dark place that we didn't really care to sit in.
What a difference a day makes.  The sides and the back of the home were constructed with horizontal siding.  We tore apart the porch and started over.  We added definition to the porch by creating the deck railing pattern to compliment the front of our home.  We chose not to screen it.
This is where we spend most of our time in the summer months.  Definately needed a 'cleaner look'.  It looked like a shack from the top of the ridge.
And we got it!  The trim around the windows and doors was a Seafoam Green with small highlights of dark brown for accent.  Now the animals aren't afraid to visit!
