In the fulfillment of our philosophy, vision, mission, houserules, were formed to set the kind of behavior and attitude expected of you.
The DLA uniform represents the school. You must wear it properly with pride and dignity following correctly the prescribed cut and materials. Non-compliance will merit a correponding sanction.
Stucco tetoron blouse with checkered necktie, pleated skirt, plain white chemise, ID, short, white socks and black leather shoes.(Sandal-type high heeled and high-cut shoes are not allowed)
Stucco tetoron polo, sleeveless plain white undershirt (sando or plain white t-shirt),Long pants (plain-brown-exclusive for DLA), ID, short white socks and black leather shoes.
Every student is required to wear the prescribed uniform during P.E. time. Lines are formed in going to the designated area and students pass silently. Everybody is expected to participate actively and exhibit sportsmanship during P.E. activities.
After P.E. time students are required to change into school uniform immediately. They are also advised to bring necessary things to freshen up.
For proper identification and for your own protection, you are required to use your ID within the school premises at all times.
The following should be observed in case you lose your ID.
These forms serve their specific purpose. They are non-transferrable and must not be tampered or defaced. Their use by students is subject to rules and regulations, which are implemented by the Guidance Office. They must be shown upon demand by any school authority. The lost of these privelege cards must be reported immediately to the GUidance Office. Fees or charged for their replacement.
These cards may be cancelled if a student violates the agreement on their use.
The HOmeroom Advisers/Level LEader issues an admission slips to the student who has been absent upon presentation of an excuse letter duly signed by parent or guardian, or attending physician in case of illness.
The attending school nurse/physician issues a clinic pass to any student who seeks medical assistance. It is presented by the student to the subject teacher upon his/her return to the class. If the student is advised to go home, the homeroom adviser/level leader issues a dismissal slip before he can leave the school premises.
A dismissal slip may be issued by the homeroom adviser/level leader if:
You are encouraged to abide by the basic health practice of maintaining a clean haircut or hairdo.
For Boys (Non-CAT)
Your hair should not go beyond two fingers placed horizontally above your ears and three fingers place horizontally above the hairline on your nape. Your "bangs" should not touch the eyebrows. ("Kalbo", "semi-kalbo", fancy hairstyle and coloring of hair are prohibited.)
For Girls
You are advised to wear short bangs or to clip/tie your hair in place. Fancy hairstyle and coloring of hair are not allowed (neither for boys or girls).
Boys (CAT)
Your hair should not go beyond three fingers placed horizontally above your ears and four fingers place horizontally above the hairline on your nape. ("Kalbo", "semi-kalbo", fancy hairstyle and coloring of hair are prohibited.)
All Filipino Citizens are expected to give due honor to the Philippine Flag.
Students are required to proceed to their respective assembly area upon arrival. during the flag ceremony everybody is expected to exhibit proper behaviour.
After the flag ceremony, everybody should proceed to his/her respective classrooms silently.
Assemblies, Programs and other gatherings should be considered part of the educational development; therefore students should behave properly during these occasions. Chatting, loud talking, boisterous laughter, eating, running, malicious talking, whistling, or any kind of rude behavoiur are prohibited.
The bell is rung at 11:50 a.m. for the angelus. Classes stop, students stand and pray as one community.
Students form a line in going to the canteen. Female students pass first. Silence should be maintained in going up and down the stairs.
The library is a place for intellectual activities, hence the following are strictly prohibited: eating, talking loud, chatting, sitting on the table, tearinhg of page/s of the book, and writing/drawing on the book.
Always seek the permission/ approval of the librarian before taking out any material/ book from the library. Be sure to retur books to their proper places after use. Know the library policies and procedures and observe them religiously.
An examination permit should be presented to the teacher/ proctor before the test. Bags and other things should be placed outside the testing room.
Students should listen atttentively to instructions and should follow directions as given. Questions/ clarificatios should be directed to the teacher/proctor, not to classmates/seatmates. Copying, talking with classmates, opening notes and other forms of cheating are strictly prohibited while the examination is going on.
During field trips students are expected to come ahead of time wearing the school uniforme and ID. wearing of expensive jewelry is prohibited.
Students are always expected to listen to directions given by the teachers or guides. They are also expected to stay in groups, for nobody is allowed o leave the group without the permission of the teacher-in-chrage. Bring packed lunch and snacks.
DLA does not assume responsibilities for parties, soirees and the like which are not officially sanctioned by the school.
Everybody is expected to join the flag retreats. Three(3) long bells are rung at 4:45 p.m. All stuents are required to stand at attention and participate actively in the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, Divine Light Academy Hymn and the reciting of the Patriotic Pledge.
Students are not allowed to put up posters, bulletins, etc. in the school campus without securing permission from the authorized officials.
The use of any venue for an activity must be scheduled with the person in-charge. Permission to use can be solicited from the leaders. All students who used school facilities and equipment are responsible for the careful use and upkeep of such. They shouls see to it that these are kept in good order during and after use. They shall be held responsible for any damage or misuse of such facilities and equipment.
Every student is expected to be responsible and to show concern for his/her own belongings and school properties.
Students should fix things inside the class room; turn off lights, electric fans and air- conditioning units before leaving the classroom and must go down quietly.
DLA tries its best to keep our school and its premises clean. The students should help maintain our school clean, orderly, wholesome and beautiful. In all classrooms, cleanliness, and orerliness of chairs, fixtures and furnitures must be maintained at all times. Littering the classrooms and school grounds is absolutely prohibited. In accordance with good care for environment practice, students are enjoined to use segregated receptacles for solid waste, like those of paper, bottles, cans, biodegradable materials, etc.
Your parents are most welcome to our school. However, to facilitate and still maintain optimum learning conditions, your parents are requested to notify the teacher in writing at least two days in advance. They are advised to confer with the teacher during the latter's free periods only.
To avoid disruptions of classes, your parents/guardian is not allowed to proceed directly to your classroom or to take you from class without a permit issued by the level leader.
Likewise, guardians, yayas, or drivers fetching students may just wait outside the gate.
In case your parent/guardian needs to give you something, he/she may leave it to the guard properly labelled.
Classes are automatically suspended whenever Thypoon Signal No. 2 is raised. There are times when only Thypoon Signal No. 1 is hoisted over the region but the local official declares the suspension of classes.
If the rain is strong and there is no thypoon signal, it would depend on the discretion of your parents if they will send you to school but you will be left responsible for any lessons, homeworks and quizzes missed because of your absence.
In case a thypoon signal or suspension of classes is announced after you are brought to school, you will have to stay in your respective classroom until you are fetched. Teachers usually conduct classes in this case.
