Tingling sensations
Follow the warmth up her spine,
Her brain frozen with temptations
As the sensation rewinds.
Strong, defiant arms
Surround her in a tight embrace
Tell her that he’ll keep her from harm,
And that he will always be there.
Rain begins to fall
But neither can see,
Both blinded to all
But each other’s eyes.
Warmth caresses her cheek,
Then finds the back of her neck
As his lips meet what they seek
And for a moment she forgets to breathe.
Tears stream from their eyes
Mingling with the rain, already gracing their cheeks
Hearts breaking between their love and family ties,
Both afraid to let go of the moment.
Her head rests on his chest
As he holds her quivering body
Listening to her heart beat beneath her breast,
He kisses her forehead and whispers that he loves her.
