Chapter Eight “Hey Josh. How are you feeling?” I sat down across from him on his sofa. “I’m fine. I can’t believe that he’s dead. Just the other day we were talking all fine and everything. I just can’t believe it.” He leaned back and took several deep breaths. He glanced around then leaned in close. “Have you realized that out of everyone that has been killed, they’re our close friends?” I looked at him, and realized what he was getting at. “You don’t think that someone is out to get us?” I leaned in closer when he hushed me. “Well…yeah I do. Think about it. Were all friends and everyone who has died is one of our friends or relatives. It’s just weird.” I leaned close. “What about the first body Amber and I found. None of us are related to her.” Josh leaned back and rested his head. “Actually…that was Trevor’s aunt.” He glanced at me and then looked down. “What? Are you serious? How come he never told me?” I asked Josh. “He never told anyone, except for me. He just finally decided to tell Amber and he said that I could tell you. We both think that someone is after the four of us.” He glanced around the room. “I don’t know what to tell you. It has crossed my mind a couple of times, but I thought I was getting too in to this. Call Trevor and Amber over and we’ll talk about this.” I told him He got up and disappeared into the kitchen. I got up and headed to the kitchen. When I got into the josh was gone. “Josh?…Josh?” I looked around the room. In the back of the kitchen stood a tall female. Her hair was curly and red. Her green eyes glared into me. I looked around and Josh was on the floor beside her. “Who…are you?” I glanced around the room and tried to find any sorts of weapon. I quickly grabbed up a butcher knife. The mystery girl swung her hair around and started to walk closer to me. “Who am I…hmm…I wander what it is?” She swung around a chain bracelet and took a deep breath. She looked down causing her hair to fall in front of her face. “My name is Tiffany DonHuneo. I just came to pay you a visit. But it seems like your not enjoying my stay.” She sniffed and pulled back her hair. She glanced down at Josh then at me. “Why did he ever chose you over me. I had a lot going then you did. YOU RUINED EVERYTHING FOR ME!” She charged across the room and pushed me against the counter. I pushed her back and she fell on to the floor. She glared up at me. Her dark eyes glowed. She pulled back her hair and tied it up. “I HATE YOU!” she screamed, taking another lunge across the room towards me. I ducked and pushed myself to fridge. I ducked and grabbed the phone. Quickly running upstairs, I dialed 911 and told the operator the address. I hung up and threw the phone in the corner of the bathroom. Tiffany’s footsteps indicated that she also was soon upstairs. I locked the door and hide behind the shower curtain. “WHERE ARE YOU?” her voice began to fade then get louder. She banged on the door then jiggled the knob around for a while. “COME OUT, COME OUT WHERE EVER YOU ARE!” she began frantically banging on the door. I just peered out of the bathtub when she walked in. “STUPID CHILD! Don’t you know they have a key for every lock in this house?” she then pulled out a ring of keys that jingled when even being touched. She turned every corner trying to look for me. Taking a deep breath, I jumped out of the bathtub and ran for the door. Tiffany blocked the way. “Why there you are. You shouldn’t hide from a friend.” She grinned and looked around. Her finger tapped on the door. “Now, what should I do with you?” she glanced at me and turned her head. “Get over there!” she pointed toward the sink. I drew back against the wall and looked at her. “No way!” She grabbed the hairs at the back of my head and shoved me toward the sink. “I SAID GET OVER THERE NOW!” I stumbled and looked back at her. “Why are you doing this? I never did anything to you.” I looked at the sink then glanced at her. Something about her seemed awfully familiar. Tiffany walked over to the sink and began to fill it to the top. When she finished, she grabbed the back of my head and dunked it under the water. She pulled my head out and put it back under the water. I drew back my arm and got her straight in the stomach. She clenched back and loosened her grip on my head. I spun around and pushed her back against the wall. “Don’t you ever touch me again.” I moved behind her and pressed my thumb and index finger in to a spot below the ear. Her eyes rolled up in the back of her head and she passed out on the floor. I let go of her and sank down on the floor beside her. |
