Just visiting the cyber cafeset-up @ Skatefest!
Having a great time!
Ok Ladies short hmmm what can I say. Michelle looked
strong. Actually all the American ladies skated well.
Impressed with Hughes and Nikodinov. Cheering for
Irina though. Jen was ok but skated early in the
groups. Too bad for Annnie, she is lovely to watch I
hope she has a good free. The surprise was Fumie
Suguri, I've always enjoyed her skating she is a joyto watch.
Ice Dance...Mon Deui, I still don't get the judging!
In my opinion A&P and FP&M were lack luster. Both
Frees didn't excite me. I was so disappointed with
the judging of B&K...ok being objective here (heehee)
they really sold the program. As you could hear on tv
the response from the crowd was over-whelming and the
booing in full force! Basically they were robbed esp
by L&A what were the judges thinking??? And her hair
what was with that colour? lol D&V should have at
least been third, they had the most srirring program.
Just got back from the Gala practise, just you wait for Plushy....HILARIOUS!!!!
Ladies free today...starting to get sad that it's almost over! What a week!
Ok observations...You can't beat the crowd reaction,
you miss that at home. I can't believe all the
activity in the CTV box...you think Tracy and Rod are
just chatting, there's party going on in there!!!!
Elvis was there watching the ladies, so were Jamie and
David and Kris and Kristy. Ushi has been there so
often she should put on a pair of headphones andcommentate lol
Watching in the crowd, Yags he is so pleasant I have
been so impressed with him. Todd sitting with
Richard. Elaina B with her shades. Maria B as well.
Barb Underhill has been around, just finished aninterview now.
Skatefest has added to the enjoyment with various
skating activities and displays. Went to the Elvis
Q&A last night. W&L are the mcs, doing a fabulous job
at that. Don't worry Elvis is in good sprirts. Drew
a big crowd and was joking a lot. He's still
uncertain whether he'll compete at next year's worlds,
will depend on the outcome of Olympics, but it looks
good since Worlds will be in Nagano...redemption lol.
He said that he is thinking about doing another Elvis
tour, when he goes pro. He also confirmed that he
will be working with Danny Devito in an upcoming
movie. He'll be Robin Willaims skating double...he
joked that he will need to have extra body hair. He
is great with the crowd esp with the young kids. You
have to admire his attitude, he really is genuine!
Well should wrap up and head back to the arena
Highlights...all the Canadian flags in the crowd,makes me soooo proud!
Fashion Fax paus...A&P awful colour of the free
outfits off green yellow...did Nothing for her hair lol
