I came out to myself and my friends as gay in 1997 after about a year of identifying -- and hiding -- as bisexual. At the time, I was still active in the Scouts and not willing to admit to myself so "bisexual" allowed me to still feel as if I fit in with my heterosexual friends and my gay friends as well. Also, I didn't understand bisexuality then; I thought as long as I could look at a woman and say she was attractive that meant I was bi. And now, please take a moment to visit one of my sponsors.
