One week and 65 miles later, we just had to start customizing...Watch this bike morph!!!(Gee, haven't we been there, done that??...) As if the new pipes, windshield, engine guard, chrome belt guard and sprocket covers installed at Schaeffers weren't enough, we bought buckhorn handlebars, new risers, hand grips, and an decorative HD flamed clamp and my very own personal Master Mechanic Dave got busy to work. : )
Earlier that day, we took a short, valley ride (in the 30degree temps B-r-r-r!) and I was becoming convinced I had to stretch my arms just a little too hard to reach comfortably, buckhorn handlebars (like my sporty had) seemed the solution.
I only went to buy insulated gloves!...honest! Now look at the project!
I'm trying to be helpful...
"Oh No!..."
"I can't ride her like this!"
Gotta make sure the throttle & idle work correctly
