PROLOGUE

Rummaging through her closet, Kiley could find nothing appealing.

“Lori, what am I gonna wear?” she called through to the living room, hoping her room mate would be able to giver her some advice.

“Clothes would be helpful”

Looking at her friend out of the corner of her eye she grinned. “ How did I know that was coming”

Joining Kiley, they looked at each of her outfits in turn. Finally, Lori coming to a conclusion. “I think we need to go shopping.”

“You think?!”

“I do.”

“Yes, but I have no money.”

“So, we’ll find something cheap. Something cheap but will look amazing. C’mon!” she said, already half way out the apartment. Grabbing her purse off her bed and slipping on her shoes, Kiley followed her down into the car park.

“What are you wearing Lori?” Kiley asked, shuffling through another clothes rack.

“Dunno, that’s why I persuaded you to come shopping, I need clothes too” Kiley rolled her eyes, pulling out a black skirt and gold top.

“You can’t wear them Kiley”

Looking the outfit up and down she asked why.

“You cannot go tonight wearing a black skirt.”

“What do you know!?” Making her way towards the fitting room, Lori trailing along behind.

Pulling back the curtain she stepped back and looked in the mirror. “Oh, I take that back Kiley, you can wear that tonight.”

Kiley smiled, having to admit, she did look pretty good.

“What did I tell you!” she said returning to the cubicle and changing back into her jeans and shirt.

“You’ll knock ‘em dead” Lori said, grabbing some clothes she’d found while Kiley had been busy. “C’mon! Let’s pay!”
