2:30 AM
Ky turned over at the insistant ringing of her cell phone. Cracking one eye open to peer at the Caller ID, she moaned. The debate between letting the phone ring or answering it was settled on the seventeenth ring.
"WHAT the hell?"
"Um, are you awake?"
Kymira closed here eyes and prayed for patience.
"I am NOW. What do you want?"
Kendra knew she had gotten off on a bad foot with the call.
"Ky, we have a problem with the new place."

2:45 AM
"I thought you said it was leaking..."
Kendra tapped the faucet again, hoping it would make her look like she knew what she was talking about. Both grrls waited, Kendra more patiently than Ky, before a small drop fell.
"There! I TOLD you it was leaking."
Kymira rolled her eyes and stifled a yawn.
"Kendra, that is NOT a leak. From the way you sounded, I was seeing pictures of the Titanic in my mind... I'll call someone on it tomorrow."
"But..."
"No buts. I'm going back to bed."

4:10 AM
*RING*
Kymira pulled the pillow over her head, hoping that whoever was calling at this ungodly hour would get the hint and hang up.
*RING*
"Mmmppphhh..."
"Ky, can you come back over?"

4:25 AM
Kymira stood, her arms crossed before her, listening to Kendra and Ellie arguing about the new crisis.
"It's not my fault you can't control your EA, El!"
"I can't help it if he gets over excited sometimes!"
Kymira eyed the fresh claw marks in the wall of the kitchen with half closed eyes. Why couldn't she get a full night of sleep?
"Well, it doesn't matter anyway, right Ky?"
Ky's head shot up at the mention of her name.
"Huh?"
Kendra motioned to Ellie and Logan and the wall they stood in front of.
"You can paint it, right? And not that boring white... maybe a nice light blue or beige... I never liked the color, did you Ellie?"
"No, I really didn't, Kendra. Well, Ky?"
Kymira raised here eyebrows at the expectant looking grrls before her.
"Well, what?"
"Paint..."
Ky cut them off with narrowed eyes.
"Not. Tonight. Tomorrow."
Before Kendra and Ellie could object, she stumbled to the door, then turned back to glare at Logan.
"You. No more breaking or slicing things tonight, OK? I need some rest."
Logan growled at Kymira. Kymira growled back.
