The General was perturbed. He strode down the halls of the Administration Building, checking offices as he went. Empty, empty empty. Shoving a hand though his casually-mussed hair, he absently picked a piece of lint off the sleeve of his black shirt and tugged at the cuff. Here he'd gone to extra effort to placate his Admin Ho's, even so far as putting away all his Jedi garb from training Anakin and dressing in Black, yet they were nowhere to be found. He shook his head and headed to the bar. Judy was always good with information.

Judy punched up some numbers on her calculator, and scribbled a note in her tally book. "Hmmm," she mumbled, chewing absently on the eraser. A movement at the door caught her attention. Looking up, she saw the familiar sillhouette of General Kenobi lounging against the door-frame, surveying the room. Carefully, quietly, she shut the book and eased it off the counter into a drawer.

"Hey, General, what can I get for you?" she asked cheerfully.

He straightened and sauntered over to the bar, reseating Robin, Ellie and Pixie who slumped as he walked past.

"Actually, I was looking for the Administrative Staff of this University. They all seem to be...missing."

Silence. He quirked an eyebrow and gazed around the room, focusing in on the table with the heaviest auras of guilt.

"Um..." Jael looked at Brenda.

"Errr..." The Padawan Ho looked over to Judy.

"Oh, look," Judy said brightly. "We're all out of tequila. I'll be right back." She disappeared into the storage room.

The General walked to their table, adopted The Stance and gave Jael The Look.

"Eeep." Jael's eyes glazed over and she slowly collapsed back into her chair. Near the juke-box, JenJen and Kymera fell off their bar-stools.

"You next?" he growled to the padawan ho, who gave a panicked look at her stricken geek-art friend, then slowly shook her head.

"I...I don't..."

"Yes, you do." Grabbing a chair, he swung it around and settled into it, strong thighs straddling the seat. Satisfied sighs greeted his movement. The predatory gleam became slightly more pronounced as he rested his chin on one fist propped on the back of the chair, his other hand palm-down on the table. "It's very simple," he continued in a deceptively soft voice. "I say a name, and you tell me where she is."

Brenda swallowed and nodded. Emmy would understand her weakness. After all, the General had growled at her, and what Ho could withstand a growling General? At her side, Jael regained consciousness and sat back up, looking perplexed. Seeing Predatory!General!Kenobi sitting less than two feet from her, she "eeped"again and cringed against her companion.

He didn't want to scare Jael to death so he smiled more kindly at her. "We'll start with Emmy."

"Emmy?"

One finger tapped the table, then stilled. "Yes. Emmy. Wears a tiara? Throws things?"

"Oh, Emmy." From across the room, Kendra's eyes were saucersized as she made wild hand-gestures towards the Mine. The General turned but saw only a small wave and a beaming smile. He waved back, beginning to think that maybe he didn't really want to know where they'd gone. He switched his attention back to the two student Ho's who quickly stopped whispering and gazed at him innocently.

"Emmy?" he prompted again.

"Right," Jael spoke up. "Emmy is, er, inspecting the security in the Mine."

He nodded. Of course, Emmy was very concerned about the Mine. So concerned that she'd recently hired a new Security Chief. OK. Emmy was accounted for.

"Diebin?"

This time Brenda answered. "Diebin is with Shana. They've gone to Aldaaran to..." she glanced back at Jael who quickly added,

"...to check out a new computer system for Caeryn!" Everyone knew how traumatized Caeryn was since her data-base had crashed multiple times in the last few weeks.

"Which brings us to Caeryn." He gestured for them to continue.

Brenda beamed. Good, an easy one where she didn't have to lie through her teeth. "Oh, Caeryn's probably in the infirmary with Paddington, guarding the medicine cabinet for Darry! OOPS!" Her eyes got big and her hands clapped over her mouth as Jael jabbed a solid elbow in her ribs.

"Darry?" he enquired, his eyes narrowing to slits.

"Um, she's in the tower with Dande," Jael finally offered. "Something about a Wenchawan and Denial."

"Uh, huh." Some things he really did NOT want to know. "I'll assume Tasha is working in the Gardens again since she seems to find that calming."

"Right!" the two nodded energetically.

"How about Ban?"

Another easy one. Brenda took it. "She's holding private auditions for the Fine Arts program. If she hasn't already, I'm sure she'll be contacting you about it soon."

The General squirmed uncomfortably. "I won't have to dance, will I?"

"No," they assured him. Whew, that was a relief.

"I guess that leaves Dorotea. I noticed Cal was working in the Library again."

Oh, no, how were they going to explain Xanatos to the General? As Jael took a breath to begin, Judy arrived with a round of drinks. "Dorotea? She's taking that Geologist fellow back to his office in town, I believe. She should be back soon."

"Well," said a smiling Jael. "I guess that's everybody accounted for!"

"I guess so," the General responded, reaching for his glass. The roomful of Ho's all grabbed their drinks and raised them in a silent toast of thankfulness as another near catastrophe was averted
