It wasn't every day that the town saw a flying schooner, complete with sails and pirate crew, land on the train platform.
"Are they filming an episode of X-Files?" The Mayor scowled, upset that he hadn't been informed. "It's not time for my ascension yet, is it?"
"Nope." The cop scratched his head, pushing his cap back. "Damndest thing I ever saw."
"Kahla lele, mateys!" A young woman disembarked from the vessel.
"Hey, 'Fyre!" A pirate woman standing on the deck waved her cutlass. "Long time no see!"
"Ye scurvy knaves!" Julia grinned in delight. "How ye doing? Where's the Captain?"
"Eh, ye know." The pirate shrugged. "Saving the galaxy or some such nonsense."
"More like chasing some helpless blonde chick...," Sere muttered and led an Arabian gelding down the ramp. "That's it, Sib. Show me trouble, I'm ready!"
Realizing the natives of the town were getting braver and beginning to come closer, torches and pitchforks in hand, Julia sighed. Some people just didn't understand space pirates. "Ye'd better cast off, Adri-chan. Looks like the welcoming committee is coming."
"Screggin idjits..." The woman pirate turned and bellowed, "TEEJ! CAST OFF!" She turned back to salute her mateys. "Call us if you need help! The King misses his Herald and Artist." With a wink she waved her cutlass.
Watching the Peregrine Falcon lift into the sky, skull and crossbones flag flapping in the breeze, sails billowing, both girls sighed as they waved.
"Miss them?" Sere turned to her sib.
"Yup. Missed you more!" She engulfed her sibling in a hug, laughing. "I'm SO glad you finally got here! What took so long?"
"Oh..the usual. We had to harass those wimpy Rangers, keelhaul the Queen and show those asses not to mess with pirates." Sere finished loading her luggage on Quest and patted the Arab's neck. "Don't be a baka-brain and buck it all off, now." Turning to Julia she grinned. "Which way?"
"Out of town. Soon as possible." Walking down the street, Julia rolled her eyes as women grabbed their children and old women made a sign at them. "They're a little paranoid around here."
"Is that the evil eye they're giving us?" Sere flashed a wicked grin at one of the young men standing gaping at the two as they walked past. "Heyla, handsome!"
Grinning like a sap, the young man started forward, only to be grabbed back by his indignant girlfriend who made a warding gesture at the girls.
"Yup. They think all of us at HSU are out to grab their men." Snickering, Julia shook her head. "If they only knew..."
"So...tell me about this General..." Sere grinned like a cat drinking cream.
"Music first." Julia selected a song from the CD player Quest was obligingly carrying on his back, smiling when it came on. "Life should have a soundtrack, ya know?"
"I'm going out tonight - I'm feeling alright Gonna let it all hang out Wanna make some noise - really raise my voice Yeah, I wanna scream and shout
No inhibitions - make no conditions Get a little outta line I ain't gonna act politically correct I only wanna have a good time.

"...and that's the staff." Julia kicked a rock, watching it skip down the dirt road.
Sere walked in silence for a moment, absorbing all of the information. "Geez, they sound as loony as us."
Julia grinned. "Nice, huh?"
"How much further is this campus, Sib?" Sere stopped to pull a rock out of her shoe, leaning on Quest who nibbled her hair.
"Eh..." shrugging, Julia nonchalantly waved her hand. "Not far."
Now Sere and Julia went waaaaaaay back. They knew each other as well as any two people could possibly know another and still have separate bodies. It was the brain they shared. One whole brain divvied up into two bodies. Neither knew how it happened or who had done the deed. They only knew it was True.
Sere knew how her sib was a bit of a klutz, often falling overboard on the ship or walking into things. She also knew Julia was NOT good with distances and mileage. Those sort of things didn't matter. One got there eventually, so what was the problem? That was her philosophy.
And if you didn't arrive at said destination for several days....well, you got some wonderful adventures out of it on the way, right?
Sere was more of a mind to get to one's destination, dump all the stuff and THEN go exploring. Find whatever Trouble could be found, get into mischief and search out all interesting distractions along the way.
"Not far as in we'll get there by nightfall, or not far as in by next week?" Sere sighed. No sense getting upset.
"Oh." Julia grinned. "We're on the campus grounds now." She pointed out the "No Trespassing" signs that had a little dog with a cape pictured on them. "Space Dog patrols the perimeters and keeps the Wanker U frat boys out."
"Wanker U? Sounds like a haven for Prep Boys." Sere eyed the woods which were still thick and showed no signs of civilization. "You sure we're close?"
"Positive." Julia checked her watch. "I have an appointment and don't intend to miss it."
"Appointment with who?"
The girl grinned, waggling her eyebrows. "The General."
"Oh...." Sere was definitely interested. A university president that actually believed in hands-on interaction with his staff and students?
This might be a good thing....
"Good song." Sere cranked it.
A very good thing.
"I would walk ten miles on my hands and knees Ain't no doubt about it, baby, it's you I aim to please I'd wrestle with a lion and a grizzly bear It's my life, baby, but, I don't care
Ain't that tuff enuff? Aint' that tuff enuff."

"Emmy's the Alpha Ho, Sib....don't look directly into her eyes. She'll think you're challenging her." Julia was telling Sere facts about various people on the campus. "Don't piss Diebin off. She makes the appointments and she can be your best friend or your worst enemy."
"How do you know so much about everyone?"
Julia grinned. "No one ever notices I'm around, so I see and hear a lot." She shrugged, adding, "I keep it to myself. You're the soul exception to that rule because I know you won't tell."
"We all get appointments though?" Sere gave a hopeful smile.
"Yup. No more depravations are allowed." Julia shook her head. "It whacked Emmy out and was declared behaviour unbecoming a Ho."
"Isn't that a misnomer?" Sere winked. "Oh, good song!"
"I broke a thousand hearts Before I met you I'll break a thousand more, baby Before I am through I wanna be yours pretty baby Yours and yours alone I'm here to tell ya honey That I'm bad to the bone Bad to the bone B-B-B-Bad B-B-B-Bad B-B-B-Bad Bad to the bone"
Julia cocked her head as a deep rumbling thrum filled the air. Reaching into her pocket, she quickly put on her Official Ho Sunglasses and turned to Sere with a secretive smile. "You are about to get the thrill of a lifetime, Sib...." She took the Quest's lead out of Sere's hand and tied the horse to a tree.
"Huh?" Sere looked around, trying to figure out what the noise was. "What is that?"
Shaking her head, Julia stepped out into the center of the road and quirked a finger for Sere to follow.
"I make a rich woman beg I'll make a good woman steal I'll make an old woman blush And make a young woman squeal I wanna be yours pretty baby Yours and yours alone I'm here to tell ya honey That I'm bad to the bone B-B-B-B-Bad B-B-B-B-Bad B-B-B-B-Bad Bad to the bone"
Whatever it was, it was getting closer.
Something mechanical from the sound of it.
Sere stood completely perplexed by her sib's behaviour. "We're gonna get rundown by whoever is coming," she warned.
Smiling a knowing smile, Julia shook her head. "Coming is part of it, but we won't get run down."
"I don't-" Whatever Sere had been ready to say was knocked out of her head as she looked up and saw what was approaching.
Shinning black body, chrome accents, engine that purred like a tamed tiger...
And riding it...
"Oh...my....God...."
Julia nodded, a satisfied smirk curving her lips. "Oh yeah."
He wore all black.
Black leathers that fit like a second skin, hugged his ass, caressed his hips and showcased a fascinating bulge at the v of those strong thighs. A muscle tee hugged his chest, outlining every rounded muscle in his abdomen. A black leather jacket covered the strong shoulders and arms. Hair a warm honey color touched with hints of auburn fell to his shoulders in a loose, thick tangle that invited fingers to run through it.
Sunglasses covered his eyes, completing the Look.
"And when I walk the streets Kings and Queens step aside Every woman I meet They all stay satisfied I wanna tell ya pretty baby What I see I make my own I'm here to tell ya honey That I'm bad to the bone Bad to the bone B-B-B-B-Bad B-B-B-Bad B-B-B-Bad Bad to the bone"
Revving the bike once, the General brought the Triumph to a stop. The motorcycle's engine purred contentedly. He put one hand on his thigh and gave the girls a slow perusing look. "Hello, ladies."
Julia took hold of Sere's arm as the girl wobbled on suddenly unstable legs. "G'day, General." She smiled at him.
It was always a good day with him around.
"Are we getting a new student?" The purring voice...the accent...the vision of such a man smiling at them warmly, straddling that throbbing piece of studliness....
Julia was grateful she'd remembered her shades or she'd be flatlined on the ground in no time flat.
"This is my sister, Sere. Sere, this is General Kenobi, president of the University."
Sere just stared. This...this was a god. A god who rode out to see his subjects on a divine machine of manliness calculated to drive all female subjects incoherent. She stared, fascinated, as a strand of hair fell across the sunglasses and he reached up to push it back, running his hand through his hair.
"Unnnnnnnnnnngh...."
Something of a smirking smile curved the General's mouth at that sound. True, he did hear that a lot, though not usually before a lot more clothing was off and first contact made. "I was just taking a ride around campus." Obi-Wan held out a hand. "Would you like me to show it to you?"
Julia turned to Sere when no response came forth and shook her slightly amused. "She'd love to." Grabbing her overwhelmed sib's arm, Julia hauled her over and pushed her gently. "Get on and hold on tight," she whispered. "This is one ride you will *never* forget, regret or want to get off." With a grin, she stepped back, looking at the General again. "I'll bring Quest and her stuff. Have fun."
"See you later?" Obi-Wan brushed the back of his fingers across her cheek in a gentle caress.
Julia nodded, bracing her legs as he smiled slowly and revved the bike.
Crap. He really did know how to drive a girl insane.
She stepped aside and waved. "Later!" Chuckling to herself as the Triumph all but leaped forward, ensuring Sere's grip around the General's waist was tight, Julia watched the bike disappear around a bend.
Ah...it was good to be a General's Grrl. Good to be at HSU. Better now that her sib was here.
"C'mon Quest-chan." Julia untied the horse and scratched his forehead. "I don't wanna be late for that appointment!"
