Kymira sat fidgeting at her new desk. Laurie was locked in her office, probably banging the gong with the RB again. Ky slitted her eyes at the thought. She woke up waaayyy too early this morning, and she was feeling shrewish, to say the least. To top it off, Shana and Darry had been taking pot shots at her beloved Praetorian. Sighing, she lay her head down an the desk for a moment, never intending to fall asleep.

Quintas watched as Max and Jael hauled off at each other. Neither one gave much ground up to the other as the heated match escalated. With a sudden move, Max knocked the sword out of Jael's hand and pinned her to the ground. One look from his General, and Quintas knew he'd been dismissed. Walking swiftly away, Quintas wondered if Ky was feeling any better. She hadn't slept well all night, no fault of his or the other fellow she had cozied up to lately. She awoke overly early, which was uncommon, and let everyone know her displeasure... loudly and repeatedly. When Quintas made a move to go see about her, Martouf grabbed his arm and shook his head, warning him. *I'll never figure this woman out...*

A knock on the desk yanked Kymira out of her nap. Jerking upright, she saw Cal standing there. "What?" she growled at the padawannbe. Cal straightened his braid, re-taping it to the back of his ear. Apparently the paper clip finally gave out. "Umm... is Laure here?" Ky cocked an eyebrow at Cal. "Well, what do YOU think?" To prove her point, a loud bang against the wall behind her wafted through the room. Cal's eyes widened at the sound. "Can I see her?" Ky shook her heat minutely. *What a doofus...* "I don't know... CAN you?" Cal's eyes widened further. He seemed a bit unsure how to handle Kymira.

Shuffling his feet, Cal tried again. "Look, I just wanted to know if she needed anything, you know... since the General is gone now... " Ky cocked her other eyebrow at Cal. "No, sorry, psuedobraid, but I think Laurie is being WELL taken care of..." Another bang from the wall. "Well, what about... well... you seem a bit uptight today." Brown eyes narrowed dangerously. "Out. Now." Cal took a small step away from the menacing Ho. "Well, of you ever need..." Ky jumped out of her chair, almost vaulting her desk to get to Cal's throat. "OUT!" Not the dumb boy everyone mistook him for, Cal beat a hasty retreat.

Quintas was making his way down the admin hall, looking for Kymira when he heard her scream. Not a second later, he was almost run down by that odd boy that seemed to like to put office supplies in his hair. Quintas sprinted to the door he heard the scream come from. Inside, he found Kymira pacing and muttering under her breath in several languages. Quintas hadn't heard such things out of a woman's mouth before, but he ignored that and reached out to stop Ky's incessant pacing. Looking up, she noticed who had her arm, and she flinched. "What are you doing here?" she hissed. "I came to check on you, mistress. I know you had a trying night, and I was concerened."

Ky felt a wash of affection for this soldier. Shana and Darry were wrong about him, but it was fine that they didn't know. Kymira knew, and that was what counts. "Well, I'm thrilled to see you, but you can't be here. Maybe we can meet..." Ky didn't have a chance to finish her thought as the door to Laurie's office opened. Before Commo had a chance to see the visitor to the office, Ky grabbed Quintas and shoved him in the space under her desk. Sitting down quickly, she softly nudged Quintas with her foot, silently telling him to be quiet. Ky looked up just in time to see Laurie staring at her, a smirk on her face. "Problems, Kymira?" A quick shake of the head was Ky's response. "Nope... well. One small one. Cal wanted to see you." Laurie frowned slightly. "I assume you took care of him?" Kymira snickered, then she shuddered slightly, squirming in her seat. "Yep... took care of him..." she squeaked. Laurie smirked even wider. "Good. We'ew going... somewhere. Come, Commo, dear..." Commodus followed Laurie like a puppy, clutching a bottle of Merlot.

Stopping, he turned to look closely at Kymira. "You're not my sister, are you?" Sinking in her chair, Kymira shook her head at the emperor. "Strange... you look like her." At that comment, Kymira sat back up in her chair, causing a groan of frustration under the desk. "I. Do. NOT. Now don't vex me further..." Laurie reached back in the office to pull Commodus into the hallway. "You know, your assistant is a bit strange." Laurie smiled at the RB. "Yes, she is. I like her that way." Laurie peeked back in just in time to see Kymira sink under the desk, a happy grin forming on her face. Quietly, she closed and locked the door. *Maybe this will cheer her ass up... she's such a grump today.*
