Timeline: After "Hot Child in the City" and "He's No David"
Summary: a very lost General phones home
DebLei gazed at her computer screen with longing...
The General was gone. He hadn't said where he was going or when he would be back. He'd just indicated that since no one around here seemed to need him, he was leaving. Deb suspected he took Emmy with him, but she couldn't even be sure of that any more. And the funny this was-with the exception of a small handful of Ho's-no one seemed to notice he was missing!
Sighing DebLei switched off her computer, but not without kissing the screen as one last naked image of General Kenobi appeared before her.
She was bored, and it was 2:45. Her favorite soap opera would be on in fifteen minutes. If she hurried, she could be across campus and sitting in front of her TV in less than ten.
Before locking up, DebLei made sure to leave a note on office door. It read: WATCHING GENERAL HOSPITAL-BACK IN AN HOUR
Somewhere in Coruscant, a very tired Obi-Wan rounded yet another corner. He had no clue where he was at this point, and to top it off, it had begun to rain. Muttering several choice (and very unrepeatable) words, General Kenobi trudged on. Rain poured down on him, his soaked clothes sticking to him.
At one point in time, his Grrls would have jumped at the chance to see him like this-wet, black cloth sculpting itself to his well-muscled body-but not now. Like as not, most of them would be too busy to even notice him... too busy with their... their... what did they call them, EA's? A fancy, confusing term for other men, but Obi-wan knew the truth.
There was a time not too long ago when he thought he could accept their wandering ways-thought he could live with the knowledge that from time to time, his girls strayed to other handsome men. He even convinced himself that they would always stray back to him. After all, they were his girls, weren't they? Only now, he wasn't sure they were going to stray back.
Back in their respective dorm rooms, most of the Frosh class flirted and played with their respective (and in some cases, multiple) EA's.
In another part of the campus, Jael prepared for her Xena Sword Training thingie.
Shana was trying to wrestle the cooking wine RB (still)...
General Max was supervising his army as they drilled.
An Ewok munched on some roses.
And DebLei was sitting Indian-style on the couch in front of her TV, snuggled in a blanket while eating a bowl of Panda Paws ice cream and watching her Soap.
Obi-Wan rounded yet another corner, and finding a phone booth, decided to call for help.
His first thought was to call the Temple. Someone there could send a cab for him. But as his fingers touched the keypad, he froze.
No, he told himself. He had to give his girls a second chance. He'd call his office; someone was always there.
**You've reached the office of the president of Ho State University. This office is currently closed. Please leave a message at the tone. **
"The answering machine!?" The General exclaimed in frustration. How the Force did he get the answering machine in his own office? Where was Diebin? Where was DebLei?!?
Better yet... Obi-Wan thought, still grumbling, where the heck was he? No one answered the phone... someone was always supposed to be there!
The beep of the answering machine reminded him of why he called. Speaking tersely into the phone, he said, "Diebin? DebLei? Is someone there?
Anyone? This is the General-you know you, General Kenobi? Remember me?
Look, I know this is going to sound funny, but I'm on Coruscant and I'm lost. I can't find the Temple. I can't find the Four Seasons. Emmy left me. It's raining. I'm soaking wet and starting to get cold. If someone gets this message, please come get me!"
