Missing Mum

I thought about you again today
Although it's been ten long years, since you went away
Will I ever get over my sorrow?
I know not, by the dawn of the morrow.

You are my mum, and I miss you so
You're leaving hurts, you'll never know
They say that time heals all pain
It's been ten years, I feel the same.

Life was difficult, I know for a fact
Money scarce, but you kept us in tact
Fun could be a Sunday drive
Visitors were welcome, when they arrive.

You looked at life not as a challenge, but an adventure
The little things in life you had the cure
Raised us all up to adulthood
Thanks mum, you did darn good.
