On the tele-plains the ancient Guardian's brother is doubtful that he can
maintain his support for the mortals much longer. Nova'Song in her dragon
manifestation is seriously wounded and weakened. She has to call up all her
and friendly others' strength to survive in this realm.

Back on the HORIZON the P'ronflrr'ecx ooze is attacking her physically. She
manages to free herself but the effort leaves her even more weak and in
pain. Since for the moment their work is done there, she leaves the Ops
Center with her team.

The captain contacts her about some trapped crewmembers and despite her
exhaustion and pain Nova'Song agrees to take her team and free the c!
rewmembers.


Out in space, inside the MCCOY, Vymora Einicrox witnesses the
P'ronflrr'ecx's scream of frustration and expects to be annihilated in its
anger. But nothing happens and she realizes that the entity is more
vulnerable than they all had originally thought. After a short motivating
talk with herself she is certain that she can play the entity the right way
without pushing it over edge.

LT Lan'tzu formely of the YEAGER arrives on the NIGHTINGALE, wondering how
he will be able to serve as 2O among officers who outrank him.

Dr. Hemux also arrives much more confident as Lan'tzu as it appears and
looking for the ships lounge.

Dennis Hanson after a night of impromptu partying bids farewell to Captain
Canon with the rest of the crew and then gets settled into PADD work on the
NIGHTINGALE. In the meantime Ensign Austin goes shopping and gets his first
taste of Commander Fisher -and of Commander Fisher's penchant for good
alcoholic beverages.

Security Chief Desmond Park tries out his Firemoth simulation, still baffled
about where the flaw in the design of his ship might be.
