Fleet Sitrep for SD 13.1125 Cocoon Fleet News Service www.holoworld-startrek.org ********************************************************* Fleet Commanding Officer ~ Fleet Admiral Erin M. O'Connor ********************************************************* Fleet Executive Officer ~ Admiral Anna Karsten ********************************************************* *************************** Antelope Squadron Commander *************************** (currently vacant) *************************** *********** USS ARTEMIS *********** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** USS HAMILTON CO: Captain Judah Gibbons GM: Janet Gist *************************** After ordering a more thorough scan of the second COMBINANCE, CO Judah Gibbons puts Security on a General Threat Evaluation and on tracking down their now abandoned shuttle. The runabout is quickly located, being towed by a Jiev vessel near the Jiev perimeter. Two Jiev fighters making good time to weapon's range pose less threat than the 30 such craft which attempted to block HAMILTON from the planet they are now orbiting. The pilot and ex-crewmember whom the HAMILTON staff retrieved from the aforementioned shuttle are put back to work almost immediately (with a special warning to Anderson that he not try any of the tricks that got him thrown in the brig the first time. McCarter, after hypothesizing that one of the COMBINANCEs is an illusion and after waxing a bit philosophical about whether or not the guarded COMBINANCE is the real one, asks to speak with the captain in his ready room about SFI. Once in a more private setting, she warns Gibbons that their ex-SFI ex-crewmate said there would be another SFI infiltrator. In spite of Anderson's shortness of trustworthiness in the past, Mercedes' gut is telling her he is telling the truth this time. That said, she lies when CO Gibbons asks if there is anything else, not wanting to tell him that Anderson attempted to recruit her for SFI. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED **************************** Beaver Squadron Commander **************************** Branch Admiral Cathal Aguiar **************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser ****************** As the Horizon heads for its new mission, CMO Bill Patton has a talk with CNS Bordaq about his late wife Shania. After being reunited with her in the alternate timeline, the doctor has finally learned to let go of the hate he used to feel towards her for leaving him alone. After the return of Bordaq, Jarek and Trinity not long ago, another member of the "Horizon family" comes back: Nathan Cady. Captain Tergin gives him a very warm welcome and invites him for dinner with himself and Or'Nonya, who has also returned to the Horizon. Not much later, SOO Arkanis also meets up with Cady, as enthusiastic as Tergin. He goes on to brag about the young officer to a brunette Aldavian Cady brought with him from OP108. Tergin teams CSciO Melody Cuen up with Jessie to prepare a get-to-know-the-Malvedians report, so the rest of the senior staff can get familiar with the race they'll be helping. ****************** USS ATHENE ****************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax GM: Grayham Tyler ******************************** Working on the Computer Core, Jynn found himself having an extremely wonderful conversation to Newton, the computer core, having a calming effect on him, which made Jynn feel quite comfortable. Meanwhile, Halifax the CO of the Hermes, has named the very cold, rhodium, cobalt, and trilithium sphere, The Goop, which was expanding, he noticed that he could infact get a sample of the goo although, it seemed to be like a glassy substance, Halifax found a slight crack on the surface, allowing him to break off a piece of the goop, so they could find a way of getting out of the strong hold of it, which has already engulfed half of the ship. Although this sphere was swallowing up the ship, Agah pointed out that it was still relaxing and rather petty considering what is was doing, and as they were adoring it's beauty, they noticed something moving, thinking that it could be the goo itself, but taking a closer look wondering if it was the Runabout, Lt. Qoensal stole, just wondering if he was heading towards the semi-engulfed Starship because he found a way to get rid of the goop, only time would tell. ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Aleksi Kara ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don Ratliff ***************** Dr Poynton keeps his date with Nurse Jacki Lines. Much to his surprise, and relief, Jacki confesses that she has been 'interested' in the CMO for quiet some time. Roberts has his regular scheduled check-up done by the CMO. Starfleet medical technology fails to detect that the neural program inside Roberts is killing him. Lt Fischer shows up in Sickbay to congratulate the doctor on his recent promotion to Lt. After the CMO's examination of the Xilfans exposed to the nerve gas in their Embassy, he gives the FO a physical exam. Poynton tells Fischer that the Xilfan Ambassador is not expected to survive. The neural damage was too great. After talking with the Ambassador's family, life support is stopped. Summoned by the Captain, Fischer arrives in her office. The statue that the Captain had received as a gift earlier 'melted'. As it did so, it ate into the carpet and underlying deck plates. Fischer 'beams' out the affected material and remains of the statue into a protective container. This he takes to the Science Labs for further study. Ens Foley prepares for his court-martial, charged with smuggling an alien aboard the HIKARU from the Sphere. ************************** USS JOHN GLENN CO: Captain Richard Murphy ************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ********************************** USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Lieutenant-Commander Pol Canon GM: Mistie Smith ********************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ***************************************************************** Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Cmdr Seth Forster) ***************************************************************** UPDATED SD 13.0615 Na'stiu and Juun relations continue to be tense without progress from assigned diplomatic teams. Search for survivors continues, but none have been found at this time. ***************************************************** Amgine Sector and Andromeda Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) ***************************************************** OP 108 activity has begun increasing with the completion of the orbital docking platform. Construction has begun on several new ships at the newly contstructed shipyards there. In addition, the Andromeda wormhole has shown no signs of unusual behavior in recent months, causing a return of commerce to the area. Peaceful cooperation with races in the Amgine Sector continue to increase in the aftermath of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade Conference. Terrorist attacks continue to plague Starfleet ships in the Andromeda Galaxy. Purist terrorist cells, devoted to ridding Andromeda of all Federation presence, have jeopardized the entrance of Trasior into the Federation. Negotiators on Trasior report that the Trasien council is considering withdrawing their application for membership, while various attacks and disappearances are being investigated both by Trasien Security and by Starfleet. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** Recent troop movements along Cardassia's border with Breen space has sparked some interest in the Union's possible plans. With relations still cold from the war, no official inquiries have been made, and no investigation is planned. Betazoid Council chairman Beyard Mali and Alpha Centauran Council chairwoman Vhesha P'Nehbuddar have announced plans to begin a massive cultural exchange between their two peoples, including cultural centers on each of the two race's home planets. The cultural centers will be primarily devoted to exploration of similarities between the two cultures and will include expositions on the theoretical genetic links between Alpha Centaurans and Betazoids. Three suspected members of the Orion Syndicate were indicted today at a Federation Council hearing. Although the Orion Syndicate has been careful in the past to remain outside of Federation jurisdiction, the recent acceptance of Vermanda III into the UFP has expanded StarFleet presence into a previously unmoderated area, heavily used by Syndicate trafficking. StarFleet expects no retaliation, but also no more arrests, as the Syndicate has most likely changed their operations routes. **********************************************************
