Fleet Sitrep for SD 13.1118 Cocoon Fleet News Service www.holoworld-startrek.org ********************************************************* Fleet Commanding Officer ~ Fleet Admiral Erin M. O'Connor ********************************************************* Fleet Executive Officer ~ Admiral Anna Karsten ********************************************************* *************************** Antelope Squadron Commander *************************** (currently vacant) *************************** *********** USS ARTEMIS *********** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED *************************** USS HAMILTON CO: Captain Judah Gibbons GM: Janet Gist *************************** After staving off Talrez with an innocent "Power fluctuation? What power fluctuation?" act, CO Judah Gibbons and his team manage to get the HAMILTON warp drive crash-started. The SF vessel shoots forward and snatches back its albatross, SFI Tim Anderson, and heads for the downed COMBINANCE. After their initial shock at the lamb-turned-lion resurrection, 6 Jiev fighters pursue and thirty more set up a blockade in front of a moon that orbits the third planet. An intense energy beam lashes out from the second moon precisely aimed at a receiver on the M-class moon with the crash site; apparently, a power transfer. Scanning the COMBINANCE crew shows, contrary to report, that they are in no imminent danger of expiring, so Gibbons decides to investigate the origin of the beam. Immediately after their course change, the attacks of their escorts reintensify. On captain's orders, CSO Mercedes McCarter limits herself to taking out the weapons of each vessel as it comes within range. The tiny vessels' pinprick stings do little to so much as slow down the Pioneer-class vessel in the meantime. They slip blithely through the "blockade" and assume an orbit close to the moon of interest. Surface scan reveals not only vast tracts of unspoiled tropical forest, but a second USS COMBINANCE. ********* USS SAGAN ********* NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED **************************** Beaver Squadron Commander **************************** Branch Admiral Cathal Aguiar **************************** ****************** USS HORIZON CO: Captain Tergin GM: Ruud Visser ****************** Nathan Cady, former Horizon's OPS, has completed his Advanced Tactical Training and will soon return to the Horizon to become part of the special OPS team. Meanwhile, Chug, a bully from Cady's youth, has been enslaved by the Klingon woman Garal, long-time enemy of the Horizon. She's after Jack Haynes, one of the ship's first FOs. After the dinner with the TI agents, CNS Bordaq talks to various of his colleagues. Without going into detail, he tells CSciO Melody Cuen about the death of the Horizon's former CNS, Jay McMadeth. The next morning, TI begins interrogating the crew, and everyone is happy to see them go by the end of the day. Shortly after their departure, the Horizon leaves OP108 for the new mission. ****************** USS ATHENE ****************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED/CURRENTLY DRY-DOCKED ******************************** USS HERMES CO: Commander Michael J. Halifax GM: Grayham Tyler ******************************** Still stuck in what can only be described as Goo, Commander Halifax, feels he is going crazy with boredom, he is even starting to complain about stains of the carpet. Sick of not being able to do anything, Halifax requests that some of the senior staff, venture outside the ship to get a sample of the substance. With most of the staff volunteering, because there was nothing else to do, as no communications of any kind could get through the thick substance, which had the ship trapped, the volunteers suited up and prepared to collect the samples needed so they could figure out a way to get out of the super sticky and freezing Goo. ************************** Condor Squadron Commander ************************** Branch Admiral Aleksi Kara ************************** ***************** DS101 CO: Captain Alyza GM: Don Ratliff ***************** Doctor Poynton is promoted to Lieutenant. Fischer gives Kersh a tricorder to replace the one damaged on the last mission. The HIKARU returns to DS 101. Roberts is successful in translating the Rachet's language into the universal translator and catches up on his brother's activities in a message from Gallic and the time-ship Trax. Roberts has a checkup by Dr Poynton, the only abnormality is a decrease in neural activity of 12%. Alyza bundles her twins off to school on Vulcan. Kersh talks with Katie and gets invited to dinner. There Katie drops the news that she and Kersh have a son, Bel Jackson. Introductions are made. And Kersh promptly faints. Poynton asks Nurse Jacki Lines to dinner. The President of the Xilfan Planetary Council present information to the Council regarding a threat, by parties unknown, to destroy an important Xilfan facility unless certain demands are met. The demands included the dissolution of the Planetary Council and cessation of contact with all extra-planetary civilizations. The Xilan Embassy on DS 101 is considered to be one of the targets for destruction. The Ambassador at DS 101 opens a message and is rendered unconscious by a neurotoxic gas. Doctor Poynton transports those affected to Sickbay and isolates them behind a Level Four quarantine field. ************************** USS JOHN GLENN CO: Captain Richard Murphy ************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ********************************** USS NIGHTINGALE CO: Lieutenant-Commander Pol Canon GM: Mistie Smith ********************************** NO REPORT SUBMITTED ***************************************************************** Cocoon Fleet Situation Intelligence Report (by Cmdr Seth Forster) ***************************************************************** UPDATED SD 13.0615 Na'stiu and Juun relations continue to be tense without progress from assigned diplomatic teams. Search for survivors continues, but none have been found at this time. ***************************************************** Amgine Sector and Andromeda Report (by Lt. Alac Nond) ***************************************************** OP 108 activity has begun increasing with the completion of the orbital docking platform. Construction has begun on several new ships at the newly contstructed shipyards there. In addition, the Andromeda wormhole has shown no signs of unusual behavior in recent months, causing a return of commerce to the area. Peaceful cooperation with races in the Amgine Sector continue to increase in the aftermath of the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade Conference. Terrorist attacks continue to plague Starfleet ships in the Andromeda Galaxy. Purist terrorist cells, devoted to ridding Andromeda of all Federation presence, have jeopardized the entrance of Trasior into the Federation. Negotiators on Trasior report that the Trasien council is considering withdrawing their application for membership, while various attacks and disappearances are being investigated both by Trasien Security and by Starfleet. ***************************************** Beyond the Portal (by LtCmdr. Eli Meyman) ***************************************** Recent troop movements along Cardassia's border with Breen space has sparked some interest in the Union's possible plans. With relations still cold from the war, no official inquiries have been made, and no investigation is planned. Betazoid Council chairman Beyard Mali and Alpha Centauran Council chairwoman Vhesha P'Nehbuddar have announced plans to begin a massive cultural exchange between their two peoples, including cultural centers on each of the two race's home planets. The cultural centers will be primarily devoted to exploration of similarities between the two cultures and will include expositions on the theoretical genetic links between Alpha Centaurans and Betazoids. Three suspected members of the Orion Syndicate were indicted today at a Federation Council hearing. Although the Orion Syndicate has been careful in the past to remain outside of Federation jurisdiction, the recent acceptance of Vermanda III into the UFP has expanded StarFleet presence into a previously unmoderated area, heavily used by Syndicate trafficking. StarFleet expects no retaliation, but also no more arrests, as the Syndicate has most likely changed their operations routes. **********************************************************
